Dope is for the kind of people that enjoy showering and amygdalas.
the word "dope" here indicates general approval, not drugs
(Psst, The joke is that showering, dope, and amygdalas are all harmless things in reality and I'm crazy.)
But I do not live in the same reality everyone else does. In my reality, showers are terrifying, amygdalas cause allergic reactions, and dope has a negative connotation with foolishness.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
Hellsinker took me a long time to "get the hang of," and... I still can't pass segment 7 yet. It is awesome!! But it takes some reading and gameplay experience to get how things work.
Night Vale is probably the one fandom that didn't stick around long enough for me to get sick of (I did get sick of the constant debates over Cecil's race, but that's a different subject entirely).
I eventually stopped listening to Night Vale itself though, I have some of the more recent episodes downloaded, I just haven't listened to them :V
Somehow, on my first play through as Godwin's Brave Son, I managed to imprison William the Base.
I saved the game there so that when I get good at CKI II, I can play that.
And then I started a second play through as the Son of Godwin.
yeeeeeee
we should play multiplayer sometime.
Incidentally, one of the best things you can do for The House of Godwin is to not play as them, since the AI usually gets conquered and then retakes the throne in a generation or two. I've had several games where The House of Godwin still rules England into the 1400s. More rarely sometimes it'll be The House of Hwicce instead.
im gonna restate that seeing that Bravely Default cost 40 bucks caused me to immediately reset my 3DS, put it neatly back in it's box with all the accessories and give it to my little sister

You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
The fact that "A titles" are even a thing just reminds me that video games are coming uncomfortably close to Hollywood
If anything the distinction is fading--which is good!--but stuff for Nintendo consoles is always a little behind the times in term of non-game features for whatever reason.
well, growing up my dad would buy video games for me and everything was hunky-dory and whatnot, and i didn't really have a concept of money if that makes any sense. and now im an adult and i see just how much 40 dollars is and the idea of someone asking me to pony up 40 fucking bucks for a video game felt borderline insulting.

^^ The storage media may have affected the pricing, as well as the popularity/ego/whatever of the publisher. I imagine disc media was cheaper than cartridges, and of course storage media isn't even a factor with digital downloads.

I was always behind the curve with video games as a kid
I didn't have a PlayStation 1 until well after the PlayStation 2 was on the market

Everything is ridiculously more expensive in Australia :\
like, you know what i could buy for 40 dollars? 2 games, that's 80, enough to buy all the flatware i'll ever need, or a really nice blanket. 4 games? that's 320 fucking dollars, enough to cover air fare to see my boyfriend, a cool chair, huge-ass art prints, you name it.

Personally I just intend to swipe my mother's old flatware when I move out
She has a whole goddamn box of it up in the cupboard that she never uses because she bought all-new flatware for Thanksgiving of 2006

man it's really easy to make anything seem stupidly expensive when you use that kind of reasoning.
I'm not saying $40 is cheap or even reasonable, but I'm reasonably willing to pay it for something I'm sure I'll like. Buuuuut I'm not 100% on BD, which is why I'm hesitant.

You think they'd seek me out at some point but no mostly just his mom/my nana.
I think Dad has more or less just forgotten I exist, I guess I can't much blame him.

Which, by the way, that game, right? What the fuck, right?
That is true.

Which is dumb cuz I was just talking yesterday about how it's bad to only buy things if they're cheap
also if I buy it used the devs see nothing, so that's not any better
Gosh why can't everything just be on PC. Actually having to keep track of physical copies of games is such a hassle.
How have people done this for like 30 years?

It probably would've done great if it were $20 instead.
I think like, Commodore games and such tended to be cheaper.
my favorite thing about this tweet is the people responding to it that seem to think he's genuinely asking for music recommendations
