September... Miko is eligible to be eligible to be eligible for HRT... once again. >_> Miko once thought that she would attend her first con last September in a nice Touhou cosplay, in a nice body. Last year did not go as planned. Not even close! This one is... a little better, so far? Maybe? Let's hope it doesn't derail.

Speaking of which, Miko is skipping the "first con" thing this year, and going to her first con when she likes her body more. In a nice Touhou cosplay. Yes. And it will only be to collect Touhou fan works, which are apparently sold at conventions frequently.

Maybe cons are totally lame, who even knows.

The uncomfortable realization that not living in Canada is as distressing to me now as being male was to me in 2011

This is probably a bad thing

    ._.

Not everything about Canada is better than America...
  • yeah that sounds like weird neurotic thoughtstuff

You can relocate there, eventually, together, if you both still want to, though it would require a visa and whatnot. Most people are not Canadian and they get along fine.

What's bizarre is I don't even really remember what I was angry about anymore, wrt living in America

It's as though living in another country is a goal in and of itself now

    I'm very confused

I hope this isn't an insensitive question but, take away the healthcare and what is Canada left with that America doesn't have?

    that's so great, I mean

question also applies to England and any other foreign country you might consider moving to
  • For once, or maybe twice, I was in my prime.
    Actually I was thinking of

  • well, it's not that wanting to move to canada is a problem, but if "not being in canada" manages to bother you roughly as much as gender dysphoria that probably means that something is definitely not right there

CA: Your bf is in America, and so are people who are willing to help you with your body. It's generally easier here to get access to that sort of thing, I am convinced, but even in America, one can seek out a good doctor, provided they have transportation and such.

Wasn't all this brought on by Sandy Hook?

Sandy Hook didn't make me want to get out of America...

this is what's perplexing me right now

because i don't have an answer for this, really

i admit, part of it seems to be that i'm tired of being American

because American is default and boring and not at all interesting

because American is default and boring and not at all interesting
the default way of being is always whatever is local
  • you should move to minnesota because it's the best
  • Minnesota has Al Franken as a senator
  • therefore it is better

I imagine myself to be about as cute as a piece of moldy furniture, maybe.

Being American is ok, even though it's a weird place with a shitty mass culture. There are worse things to be.
  • how does moldy furniture compare to moldy apple pie?
  • More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
Roughly the same, but less sweet-smelling.

    not on the internet

and that's where the entirety of my social life is

mistreating natives even harder (in some ways, sometimes)

    a monarch

    more oil sands, probably

some of those things are negatives, or are neutral

and the ones that are positive can be found in America too

The first, second, and fourth items on Klinotaxis's list are things I would like but don't consider essential

As for American as default: I just don't want to be some uninteresting idiot anymore

I want people to think I'm special
  • More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
I will try to fall asleep, maybe. I wish my gf didn't have to suffer pain from a disease because it makes her life harder and it makes her tired and sad. I wonder if I will one day have to take care of her in day-to-day life? I certainly would, but I hope that doesn't happen.

you already know this but: moving is a dumb way to accomplish this. learning to riverdance is a less dumb way
  • We can do anything if we do it together.
It's worth noting that weed is illegal in both Canada and the United States. Our ISPs are worse than your ISPs, too. We also have to put up with Stephen Harper, who's trying to import the American style of politics into Canada (albeit without much success).
  • in minnesota we have weed and gay marriage, no monarch and we have Garrison Keillor and hotdish and the largest state fair in the US period

so basically minnesota is strictly the best
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
    monarchy is overrated

it's not going to make a difference if you don't work in government or the tourist industry
