Should I give my retail ramblings their own thread?
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
I personally wouldn't mind one way or the other. If you want to, go for it. If you don't, that's fine too.

You know, if someone told me a year ago that I would be sitting around at my laptop combing the tails of My Little Pony Happy Meal toys...I'd probably think that was pretty cool.

I already have a thread about brainstorming for what has recently been dubbed the "Gatorverse." Probably not going to use it again, though.

See, I'm the kind of person who's nerdy enough to make Greyson City have some kind of "sister city" called A[something] Town.
And I'm kind of person who's strange enough to make the mundane into ridiculous odd shout outs, sometimes unintentionally (e.g. The Westland (Galleria) Mall on Central Ave.).

So, I was thinking of how I should introduce my snake RPG to any potential players. I'm aiming for something that gives them some control over what their character will be able to do and generally look like without spoiling the surprise too much. How does this sound?
"I know these are kind of weird questions to put on your character background, but it will be important later. First off, if you could have any kind of snake you wanted, what would it be? You don't have to give scientific names. You can give me the name of one you know or just say a general group that appeals to you (like cobras, pythons, rattlesnakes, etc.).
"Second, your character is going to acquire some extra powers and abilities over the course of this game. What kinds of powers would you like these to be? If you can tie this in to your answer to the snake question, that would be especially helpful. Thanks!"
I know it'll be some time before I can do this at all, but it never hurts to plan ahead.

It's an odd way to name it but it seems natural enough. There actually are a few towns named Greyson/Grayson around America but GC isn't any of them.
