I don't know of another forum that has a subforum that's allowed to do a bunch of stuff that would get people banned otherwise and invade threads and subforums they don't like.
you should rewire 24 of those clocks so that they each run 60 times as fast, and thus express 12-minute intervals with their hour hands. then put them on a timed power supply such that they only run for an hour each day, each at a different hour.
I am willing to pay forty dollars for a book. Books are important to me.
I hate how shipping so frequently cures asexual and aromantic characters, and "deepens" platonic relations by making them romantic, as though romance was inherently more of a relationship than platonic. Like "just friends" as though friendship was limited for not having romance, or "I only think of you as a friend" as if "only" friendship was less than romance. Stories celebrating the power and strength of platonic relations are so rare (One Piece and MLPFIM), and dang it if shippers don't go and take it, take it and make it romantic when they have so many romance stories. But no.
This is why I hate shipping of the Straw Hats, and shipping of the Mane Cast. No, shippers! You have thousands of other stories, but not these.
Sherlock Holmes and John Watson would be an awesome study of a platonic relationship that is strong and awesome, but no.
It's just cruel and greedy, leaving no stories to celebrate platonic relationships.

Basically.
There's this one person that I'm following who reblogs a lot of Superwholock stuff, and there's this underlying "they care so much about each other, so they must be in homosexuals with each other" vibe.
The original stories portrayed a very close relationship between two men, one of whom was married multiple times, and they were best bros and it was awesome. Sure, there might have been some romance in the relationship, but the relationship was primarily a friendship, one that persevered through decades of adventures. It doesn't need romance to be the best relationship it can be.
I do think it's worth remembering that the early Sherlock Holmes stories came out at a time when there was very little representation of same-sex romantic relationships in popular fiction (and what representation there was wasn't at all flattering), and the series picked up a substantial queer following as a consequence. The gay allusions in the recent BBC adaptation were a deliberate nod to that on the part of Gatiss and Moffat, and then fangirls on tumblr picked them up and ran with them.
As for the Straw Hats, I'd be more sympathetic to the plea to keep the series platonic if Nami's character design hadn't become increasingly sexualized over the course of the series.
Though I suppose fanservice isn't much to do with shipping.

I stopped paying attention to the One Piece character designs a long time ago. That stuff be ugly, yo. And, well, we need One Piece. It's half of the platonic celebration in television/comics. And I think fan service is required by law or something in Japan. Either that or Japan is a nation of Imipolexes.
For the most part I like the character design in One Piece, actually. I much prefer characters looking like Luffy and Zoro over the kinds of generic everyone-has-the-same-face character designs you see in e.g. Clannad.
also it kinda gives this vibe that romantic relationships are not only better than platonic ones, but are entirely different from them.
That sums up about half of the reason why the friend zone is a dumb thing to talk about. (The other half is "Would you want to be in a sexual relationship with someone you don't like otherwise?")
I've been watching the animation of Part 3 of JJBA, and it's interesting that I never noticed how part 3 draws on schlock horror and slasher movies for it's inspirations, as much as Part 1 draws on Victorian horror and part 2 draws on 1930s-40s era pulp fiction.

If it makes you feel any better, I was thinking about the Royal Witch earlier

I prefer to simply ignore them.
Time to play all those PSX, PS2 and Xbox360 games!

I'm working through Nodame Cantabile right now.
I'm mentally exhausted, I've been like, cartoonishly lonely.
I've been wasting my time this entire time, it turns out there's a week delay from when you order and when the guy actually shows up
which makes sense, but fucking sucks.
wannnnttttttt ;_;
