They did some animation for 101 Dalmatians: The Series, but given the rushed and sloppy animation that show had, it wasn't as finessed as that EEnE test is.
I here am Eire, the green kingdom in the British Isles if you couldn't deduce that for yourself. My current allies are Denmark (where you'd expect it to be) and Poland-Hungary, in dark red, south of Sweden, which united under a single king after a veeeeeeeeeery long period of civil wars between the two nations. Their current king (Niezamysl The Cunning) is the father of the queen of Denmark (Gertruda) who is my (Conchobar III) wife.
If everything works out perfectly, I could be the third largest power in Europe in a generation or so.
In news that does not relate directly to my conquests, the Pechenegs and Cumans both converted to Christianity not long after game's start, and the Catholic Pechenegs and Orthodox Cumans are now both fully integrated into the larger political sphere of their respective religions. I am interested to see how this changes when the Mongols arrive. The cumans have split into two kingdoms, Cumania proper (currently in a state of unrest), and Volga Bolgaria, the brown country on the northeastern edge of the map.
Also interesting: much of Spain rests under the rule of Gonzalo Jimena, king of both Castille and Portugal (where he is Gonzalo II). This is a pretty recent development and we'll see how long it lasts. More longstanding (though not by much) is the Andalusian sultanate of Albacete, which controls most of the rest of Iberia.
Also, it's not directly visible in any way on the map, but Rus (the big green blob) has gone through an absurd amount of kings because they have succession by seniority (oldest dynasty member inherits). So they've literally had like 30 rulers.
Two quick questions: How big is the learning curve for CK2 and how addictive is it? Is it the kind of game where you play it, look at the clock and realize that 6 hours have passed without you noticing?
The learning curve is....it's not Dwarf Fortress steep, but it takes some experience. It's enjoyable even if you don't really know what you're doing though.
And yeah it's possible, though I haven't had that problem recently, it has come up in the past. This is a game I have 900+ hours in, after all (though a fair chunk of that is idling).
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
This seems like a good time of year to pretend it's Christmas
if i were a wealthy man i would throw out every last pair and go buy myself 15 pairs of correctly sized boxer briefs from Marshalls first thing in the morning.
in other CK2 news, I am simultaneously crusading (I may become the King of Jerusalem!) and trying to convince the Pope to let me make my bastard half-brother Aedan mac Brian the Prince-Bishop of Gwynned.
are you implying that just because Aedan is not Welsh, has never been to Wales, and is not interested in an ecclesiastical career in the least that he would be a bad bishop to preside over an almost exclusively Welsh-speaking congregation and territory?

I wanna talk about something but I've never been as comfortable as just spilling about my current obsessions as most people seem to be on here.

I can't wait to port this to EU4 and colonize the new world as Eire.

Maybe I'll do that tomorrow afternoon
My wife just died, meaning my nine year old son has inherited the throne of Denmark.
Stay safe, Conchobar. :(
i don't know if it's intended as an attack on accessibly-written informative texts, but that's how it sounds
i take things here at face value too often
relatedly i don't much like the use of 'x porn' to mean whatever it's supposed to mean
porn is cheap, shoddily made and boring
excuse me, i enjoy scenery erotica
Oh god
