And like I'm really adamant about not using Facebook for like, no reason. So good luck getting in contact with them.
Ech. I have... mixed feelings. They were all interesting, cool people, but they were also sometimes mean. For the most part, though, they were great and made me feel like I had a niche in high school. But I dunno if I could ever invite them to my house. But still the transient nature of high school friendships is sad. Transient anything is sad.
I'm not regularly in touch with anyone I knew in high school at all. I have most of them on Facebook so I know what's going on with them, but I don't talk to them. I refuse to add the biggest assholes, though, like the one who stamped on another kid's head in a fight and gave him brain damage.
As far as I know, the only consequence of that action was a week's suspension from school, too. Great life lesson, school!
I don't regularly talk to anyone I met at college, either. I do regularly talk with people I got to know outside of college at that time, though.

Who should voice Peridot in my nonexistent Cucumber Quest adaptation?
Kexruct, But still the transient nature of high school friendships is sad. Transient anything is sad. On one hand, I agree that having to part with people can be sad. On the other hand, I think that it can be nice to know that you are not always going to be surrounded by people who knew you in middle school and/or high school. I would hate for people to be constantly reminded of and defined by embarrassing things they did in school when they have grown and changed since then. Basically, I feel like being forgotten can have its advantages sometimes.

Magical Crimes Squad arrests local musician, claims he killed Queen City resident softly with his song
Haven't seen Man of Steel. I think TDKR was a more-or-less functioning movie, though, so I am capable of overlooking the blatant right-wing propaganda for the most part unless I'm actually talking about the right-wing propaganda.
Is it bad that I pretty much never catch the political elements of superhero movies?
I mean, I guess TDKR and Iron Man promote wealthy lifestyles but I can't really wrap my head around the whole concept that they're glorifying rightism outright...

Iron Man is about a guy who makes superweapons for the military developing a conscience, not because he realizes the real human cost of his work, but because he finds out that they're being used to kill white people.
Fuckin' Edison refused to make weapons of war, and that guy electrocuted an elephant.

Some people seem to have a hangup with Redux edits for some reason
re: Redux edits: I'm okay with them as long as they distinctly justify their existence
My personal one, which I've dubbed Chandlr, does so through moving the description and navigation to the top of the page and adding a Masonry-based layout

That's more or less just an unfortunate implication; whereas TDKR had no subtext whatsoever; it was just "look at how dangerous poor people are!" I liked it, basically, but that movie did a lot of bad things. Also If I'm viewing the trailers right- and I might not be- even if this Superman is supposed to be "different" all the posturing about hope and heroism runs directly counter to his destructive savior tendencies.

seems like an excessively oversimplified conclusion, but like I said, I haven't seen the movie in question. But I see complaints like this all the time and they're rarely accurate.

It's somewhat polemical, but I have seen the movie twice soooooooo

My theme is a pretty simple Redux edit. I keep wanting to scrap it, but I'm too lazy, since that would mean having to add all those little customizations I've made over the years (random traffic sign phrase, decent timestamps, etc.) to whatever theme I end up moving to.

I know, I know; that's Fast Eddie logic.
the difference being that FE runs a public community with thousands of users, whereas your Tumblr is just one of the millions Yahoo hosts.
ergo, your decision to keep things as they are isn't hindering the progress of the site, and as such, is not a harmful one
In my case, part of the fun of Tumblr is the whole idea that you don't necessarily have to keep it the same all the time
I joined the site before it got exorbitant with the premium themes, so the Theme Garden made it fairly easy to find something you liked, and it updated daily, too
unfortunately, Tumblr didn't catch that most folks searching for themes were doing so without intending to take their wallets out, so since the redesigns the Themes page has been chock full of those and a couple of free themes deemed worthy of use by Tumblr

brands that are totally different in different parts of the world are weird
A lot of my friends in theater were seniors, and now they're gone.
All my school friends are gone to differen colleges or on missions.
At least email is still allowed for missionaries.
I also suck at friends.
vanilla, chocolate, chocolate caramel, chocolate cookie, and lemon meringue pie pudding cups are all at my disposal

...must've been something you said.
"You are who you choose to be."
"Suuuuuuperman..."
(Giant destroys town, murdering everyone)
- excerpt from Zack Snyder's IRON GIANT remake.
it's a Redux edit but it doesn't resemble it too closely anymore, which is good for me :)
eugh
Also Nolan has more street cred than Snyder.
Bluh

As a christian, should I be offended or amused by this?
