Hmm, that doesn't sound all that different from Gabriel's poppier post-Genesis stuff.
  • My dreams exceed my real life

Also hard to believe that the band that did this
  • My dreams exceed my real life

    Did this

And Phil Collins had a definite attraction to silly love songs. It's like he tried to re-make "Sussudio" (lol sus) and "Easy Lover" over and over after No Jacket Required hit it big.

("Follow You Follow Me" also comes to mind, being one of the mushiest things Genesis ever did, but it's worth it for the distorted synth line it uses...)
  • My dreams exceed my real life
Honestly if Genesis felt that progging it up without Peter Gabriel wasn't working it, I'm cool with them trying to just be pop band.

I mean Peter Gabriel became poppier too, and people don't get angry at him.
  • THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS
Oh, I like all of Genesis's post-Peter stuff (I mean, I grew up with it), I'm just saying I'm seeing a pattern.

The transition is even more obvious on the first disc of The Lamb Lies Over Broadway.

It was dispatched 9 minutes ago.

Fortunately, Amazon Yesterday will come to the rescue.

(Amazon Yesterday is actually an Amazon in-joke, deriving from some bugs we've had over the years where we've promised ... temporally impossible deliveries.  There is a photo of two DeLoreans in our parking lot on the internal Wiki somewhere, entitled "Amazon Yesterday experimental delivery vehicle".  Singular because it's not actually two DeLoreans, of course.  It's the same one appearing twice.)

Bitcoin as a whole is pretty hilarious, really.  I mean, this is a community that got so infested with Ponzi schemes that they had to make an entire new section of a Bitcoin forum just for advertising your Ponzi scheme.

^^ Heheh, that is pretty hilarious. It helps that bitcoin seems to be exactly the kind of thing that attracts some of the more politically/economically nutty folks.

^ Is that a photo of a mommy cat and daughter cat?

I actually considered not buying Coin Crypt because its developers are bitcoin supporters (and in fact take bitcoins as payment for the game, but only for the non-Steam version). Shit is dumb.

This is getting absurd. Yet again I threw together an assignment the night before. It wasn't just a paper, it was a presentation complete with a powerpoint slide show. Not only did the teacher like mine, all my classmates thought I was great too. And I didn't practice the presentation at all. Not one single time.

(Further absurdity: this is the second presentation for this particular class. Last time, the teacher said she could tell that some of us hadn't practiced beforehand.)

Honestly, the assignment itself was kind of BS. We each received a different slide show and were told to update the photos but otherwise leave the contents unchanged. The slideshow I got was nothing but photos. There weren't even notes (i.e. text for the speaker's benefit, that goes with the slides but isn't displayed onscreen). After WTF-ing over it for a bit, I took it as carte blanche to just write my own slides as long as I slapped a lot of photos on them.

Okay, that's not entirely accurate. The original slideshow did have a "these are the topics we're going to cover" intro slide. I completely rewrote that (because some men just want to watch the world burn) and teacher either didn't notice or didn't care.

PS I attribute my BS-my-way-through-unrehearsed-presentations ability to the number of presentations I've given in the past, which I have rehearsed for.
