it's not hard to not get offended when people disagree with your opinions.

    im not saying dont react

im saying do not slather your reaction all over my computer screen

    Guys

You're arguing on the internet over a movie

    Why

we are not arguing over a movie

we are having an argument about my opinions on a movie because i apparently should not have them for some wild, unknown reason
  • Tachyon said:

    well

you could, you know, recognize you're having that reaction, and then not make a post about it

I do that sometimes but generally when I have that reaction it also makes it difficult to think through such things rationally.
  • you guys are both being very silly tbqh.

The original Anchorman is widely considered to be a comedy classic, but that does not make anyone's dislike of it invalid (I've seen bits and pieces of it myself and don't think I'd like it).

This is not something that is ultimately worth arguing about on any level.

yes you are, you are going out of your way to attack my own personal observations. that is exactly what you are doing

actually i can kind of relate here, sometimes things just set me off and i feel involuntarily angry about things that people said on the internet

but like, you still don't have to jump down people's throats over stuff

i think Naney is perfectly aware of this, the issue is that Kex (who hasn't even seen the movie) swooped in to complain that Naney's opinion was not the same as Kex's favourite reviewers

    STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING

IT'S A COVER OF CRUEL ANGEL'S THESIS BY GOOFY
MY LIFE IS COMPLETE NOW.  THIS IS COMPLETELY AMAZING.

    (SERIOUSLY GUYS, WATCH THIS)

  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
My beau is upset because he was in an uncomfortable and irritating situation and feels like he was being insulted and condescended to for feeling uncomfortable and irritated.

Kex is upset because he reacted automatically to something that upsets him and triggered an even worse chain reaction. He seems to want to apologise but is not doing it well at all.

These are understandable. But continuing like this is shoving salt in open wounds.

JJBA sounds seriously great, but i am not much into comic books, and i'm even less into reading scans of manga online

maybe i'll start with the anime and see how i feel from there

If you do go with the anime, stick around until episode 10, because that's where the anime and the series get seriously great.

Also it is on Crunchyroll so you can get access to it legally in HD for 6.95 a month plus a two week trial

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure kind of ruined me for fights in DBZ-esque stuff and superhero comics.

Like, in DBZ or superhero comics, people win because they have heroic determination, or have a higher power level.

In JJBA, a woman who can turn into string and a woman who can create duplicates of things using stickers beat a guy who can create superfast invisible zombies, and you believe it, because it's justified every step of the way.
you make this thing sound seriously awesome where can i read/watch(?)/whatever it
I believe this is Stone Ocean, which is the 6th Arc of JJBA.

Only the first 2 and some Arcs have been animated, so you'd have to find a manga scan. And you should probably hit Arc 3 first for context and whatnot.
    Yah it is.

Also it is Part 3 that is currently being animated.
  • Look, I'm not acting logically or rationally right now. Even if there is one consistent reason for why I end up reacting in this way it's a ridiculous reaction nonetheless and completely unjustified and just whatever

Kexruct perhaps you should just stop posting until you calm down.

I mean this in no way as an insult, it's just that no one seems to be having fun right now, least of all you, and that is the easiest way to solve this.

You said Underdog was a poorly-drawn Superman knockoff

ABC owns Underdog, having inherited him from Classic Media

ABC never took well to being insulted, so it became Schrödinger's Conglomerate

Calm down, man. Everyone is on edge right now and just needs to calm down. Mo's advice here was very sound: Open a new tab. Think about other things.

Please, do not take this all to heart...

President Joe once had a dream
The world held his hand, gave their pledge

So he told them his scheme for a Saviour Machine

They called it the Prayer, its answer was law
Its logic stopped war, gave them food
How they adored till it cried in its boredom

'Please don't believe in me, please disagree with me

Life is too easy, a plague seems quite feasible now
or maybe a war, or I may kill you all

Don't let me stay, don't let me stay
My logic says burn so send me away

Your minds are too green, I despise all I've seen
You can't stake your lives on a Saviour Machine

I need you flying, and I'll show that dying

Is living beyond reason, sacred dimension of time
I perceive every sign, I can steal every mind

Don't let me stay, don't let me stay
