  • actually all three guests on the tape absolutely murder their verses.

So yeah this is really good. One of the best rap releases of the year so far I'd say.

did you watch the rest of the show?

We watched what we thought was the last episode first, Eddie Must Die or something like that, because Netflix listed it as the last episode, but that was it.

I'll be honest, it's a little weird to me that the Columbine anniversary has in recent years ended up giving way to WEED
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I think the weed thing predates Columbine by a few years at least, and while gun violence is a really important issue... I can understand wanting to divert oneself rather than stare into the dark year after year.

I say this because the anniversary was, even just a few years ago, treated like such a big deal...and now, barely anything is said about it

  • For once, or maybe twice, I was in my prime.
Here's a song about Columbine from a band from Denver. One of them has a sister who was there the day of the shooting.

Oddly enough, their (at the time) final album was released 4/20/2004.

This is (or will be) the title of my new album! And hopefully this time around it'll be a real, bona fide, 30 minute journey into the musical mind of Tre. Some tracks from Esoteric Pads and all of the stuff I've done after that will be on it, as well as a few surprises and, perhaps, a collaboration or two. I'm excited! I've got most of the material done but because I know I'm terrible at holding to release dates I'm not making a hard and fast one just yet. Expect it sometime in November, though.

    so yeah, that's a thing I'm doing
Hmm. Beyond the whole "November" timeframe, I actually did end up doing everything that I wanted on there (and, in fact, exceeded it -- Nosty is 43 minutes and 33 seconds long)!

    I feel good.

Look, I know that Updike was kind of a prick, and his fiction could reflect that, but that's a bit much, to say the least.

    Where is this from?

    Also, "G.M.N.s"?

is it me or is the boss theme from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 really silly:

The Sonic 2 boss music is great and I will not hear a word said against it.

A lot of stuff from those early Sonic games is silly

But it tends to fit well IMO
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”

I never read any John Updike, myself...

He's very skilled at sensory detail and capturing specific emotional states, but he doesn't have a whole lot of range as far as subject matter goes.

The Sonic 2 boss music is great and I will not hear a word said against it.

I wasn't saying that negatively, I was just thinking about how the one from the previous game actually sounded menacing:

  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”

the reason is that you are a lame butt.

    WELL YOU SUCK TOO.
  • image Wee yea erra chs hymmnos mea.
Now, if you want silly Sonic music, then there's far greater things in store.

  • In music, a prolation canon or mensuration canon is a type of canon, a musical composition wherein the main melody is accompanied by one or more imitations of that melody in other voices. Not only do the voices sing or play the same melody, they do so at different speeds (or prolations, a mensuration term that dates to the medieval and Renaissance eras). Accompanying voices may enter either simultaneously or successively. Prolation canons are among the most difficult to write, and are relatively rare in the repertory, though they are most common in the early Renaissance and from the 20th century to the present.
