  • Identify audience and goal or purpose of brochure.  Gather content (information/images/ideas)

Create a 6 column tri-fold brochure, using Microsoft Publisher (use template to get the margin guides, but delete the template items)

Each column organized by information priority:

Front cover = attention getter and topic introduction

Inside flap = information summary or additional connect to entice reader to want to know more about topic

Inside 3 columns = main content of the brochure (Break up content into bite size chunks – use headings and images to divide text into small paragraphs or lists of information)

Back cover of brochure = reminder, review of content = what the reader should do next – final call to action

Brochure should have text, headlines and images

Brochure should demonstrate good use of contrast, repetition, alignment (within column and across other columns) and proximity (group content with headings).

Remember that the pages sizes are 1/3 of a page in width, so use text and image sizes in scale with the document.

i have 7 hours to do this so this shouldn't be too big of a deal

I always wondered what kind of people spring for Priority Mail or UPS Next Day Air or whatever FedEx's equivalent is called

Because, like, I usually don't actually care how long it takes for something to reach me, at least not enough to pay extra to get it sooner

The exception would be if I needed something urgently, and let's be honest, if it was really that urgent, I wouldn't be ordering it online anyway, because I don't have that much faith in these shipping services to begin with

i used Amazon Prime for a while because my dad signed me up for it

i don't know if it worked out more cost effective in the long run, but i really liked being able to just pay for something and get it the next day without having to worry about postage costs

Arguably, this Troper is probably the youngest of which who suffers from this Trope. This is practically the invisible label that's under the invisible Berserk Button of this 13-year old kid. He broke 33 pencils in his life, and had a good friend break two of those pencils because they were too hard. He even yelled at someone because that guy was the third person who asked if he could be punched for the third time, with a teacher only a mile ahead!

I love that Non-Copyright-Infringing Soundalike of "What I Like About You"

Also, at 1:10 you can see that bizarre ramp to nowhere along Third Street...it seems to lead to the back of the convention center, and there are no signs for the ramp at all.

Take piano lessons. Practice a half hour, forty five minutes, or an hour a day. You will be able to play the piano. You didn't learn to walk in a week, or talk, or drive or swim.

Children, when they learn scales and simple songs, are rewarded with sincere praise, and it is praiseworthy. Just because you are older doesn't make it any less praiseworthy. The children feel accomplished, and so should you. The children have parents to force them to practice, which is good.

After years, look at how much you have learned. Piano is fun and can be invigorating or relaxing. You have that half hour or forty five minutes, somewhere. Stop playing things like solitaire and bejeweled, stop hitting refresh.

Stop sitting around wondering what you want to do.

It is so very worth it. The same applies to writing and drawing. Consistent practice! Step away from the timesinks and learn the things you want to learn.

    DO IT.
