I saw a box yesterday that said "DO NOT OPEN WITH KNIVE"
as a matter of fact, the game has always been loosely thrown together with little/no playtesting or forethought. but it had it's charm
now konami go out of their way to introduce archetypes in almost every set that are so OP that people have to play them if they want to win, and they use the banlist to crush decks that are built around clever combos and synergies that they didn't think up first and to slowly cripple archetypes that they are no longer making money on.
I'm watching Todd's episode on "Baby Got Back", and I have to wonder why I never heard the follow-up (or even heard of the follow-up until he posted this episode).
Aside from the song not being a hit, there was another problem: Washington, DC had no pop stations in the fall of 1992. Long-time Top 40s WAVA and WRQX had both flipped (to religious talk and adult contemporary, respectively) not long before we left Palmyra, and HOT 99.5 was years away. I ended up listening to a lot of WINC out of Winchester, since it was the closest thing my brother and I could find to daytime-mix Q94.
