also over the past 4 days i have racked up almost 200 AJJ listens which is pretty crazy
also also i keep trying to like xiu xiu and failing but im keeping at it because i am super big on the Jamie Stewart's arrangements and i also think he's super cute but his vocals are so annoyinggg
there have been many of these lately in stores and precisely nobody in real life is wearing them
this is precisely the shit that topman sells, for like, £90, and it falls apart after 3 weeks. see also: Zara men's collection (more for the faux leather than anything else. like i think some faux leather manufacturer must have dirt on literallly all of zaras designers)
however they do very good fitting stuff for somebody my size and build, their more conventional coats are a very good fit and are comfy and look good and dont fall apart too quickly. and they do good skinny jeans and good plain striped shirts/sweaters (again in terms of fit. because painfully skinny early-20s guys are their target market.)
shame they ruin it by selling stupid things like tshirts with gold studs on the shoulders and giant multicoloured paisley/aztec sweaters which nobody ever wears
is there river island in america? river island is so frustrating because they will come out with these lovely as hell sweaters and absolutely everything else in their shop is super horrible
im generally not big on fast-fashion places, generally because i have a kinda eccentric taste in clothes but also because i have a very heavyset build and am rather chubby on top of that
i did buy a sweater from Zara for vash for his birthday/valentines day because it was on clearance and i love clearence things and i thought he'd look cute in it.
ALSO i had this really cute ladies cowl scarf from H&M but i lost it. u_u

some stuff that zara does is good but wow. so much faux leather
if i still lived in london i would probably shop around in more interesting places... but it would also be expensive to do that in london. up here in The North i have limited choice and buying online is out because i really dislike buying clothes without trying them on... we have some good charity shops tho which are good for picking up the occasional thing. but its a student town so you have to get in during the holidays
that is my coat from topman which i got for £25 and i love it. perfect fit and cosy as hell

AAL: first album still has some good moments as far as prog metal goes but im not particularly into it anymore
second album is boring
third album is shaping up to be super boring
the shirt: it doesnt help that the design is ppeeling off everywhere.
i still own a fairly silly number of band shirts/merch. but out of all of them i have three enemies list shirts (yes one is the no fun. not ever. one) and a kayo dot shirt and a me&lp shirt and those are the only ones i wear on the regular. i like them because they could all ostensibly not be band shirts if you didnt know the band/label. the rest of them... are just old shirts i will throw out eventually. i still have a periphery shirt knocking around somewhere... christ
my wardrobe consists of a few rumpled blazers, some vintage military jackets/coats, two leather jackets, some collared shirts ranging from Brooks Brothers to wild chevron-covered numbers, a few pairs of jeans, a few pairs of chinos, a pack of white t-shirts and some straggling black ones, some crazy socks and a nice selection of shoes, including one pair of sneakers, a pair of loafers, dark blue boots, brown suede monkstraps and my favorite, a rather wrinkled, well loved pair of black italian oxfords with rubber soles
my most prized tshirt probably is a dan hillier shirt which i bought off the man himself and has (the top half of) this design on it
that's a good ass shirt which has been washed and washed for years and despite the complexity of it the print is still fresh as hell. good ass quality shirt. £20 but worth it
