also over the past 4 days i have racked up almost 200 AJJ listens which is pretty crazy

also also i keep trying to like xiu xiu and failing but im keeping at it because i am super big on the Jamie Stewart's arrangements and i also think he's super cute but his vocals are so annoyinggg

this is precisely the shit that topman sells, for like, £90, and it falls apart after 3 weeks. see also: Zara men's collection (more for the faux leather than anything else. like i think some faux leather manufacturer must have dirt on literallly all of zaras designers)

however they do very good fitting stuff for somebody my size and build, their more conventional coats are a very good fit and are comfy and look good and dont fall apart too quickly. and they do good skinny jeans and good plain striped shirts/sweaters (again in terms of fit. because painfully skinny early-20s guys are their target market.)

shame they ruin it by selling stupid things like tshirts with gold studs on the shoulders and giant multicoloured paisley/aztec sweaters which nobody ever wears
  • is there river island in america? river island is so frustrating because they will come out with these lovely as hell sweaters and absolutely everything else in their shop is super horrible
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch

I have officially lost all contact with musical trends

  • im generally not big on fast-fashion places, generally because i have a kinda eccentric taste in clothes but also because i have a very heavyset build and am rather chubby on top of that

i did buy a sweater from Zara for vash for his birthday/valentines day because it was on clearance and i love clearence things and i thought he'd look cute in it.

ALSO i had this really cute ladies cowl scarf from H&M but i lost it. u_u

    nope, there aint
  • suits starting at 80 pounds
    those have to be hideous
  • some stuff that zara does is good but wow. so much faux leather

if i still lived in london i would probably shop around in more interesting places... but it would also be expensive to do that in london. up here in The North i have limited choice and buying online is out because i really dislike buying clothes without trying them on... we have some good charity shops tho which are good for picking up the occasional thing. but its a student town so you have to get in during the holidays

    image
that is my coat from topman which i got for £25 and i love it. perfect fit and cosy as hell

  • The German word for Hamster is Meerschweinchen.

Which roughly translates into 'little sea pig'.

I honestly don't understand why I waited so long to learn German
  • out of the three you posted i like the paisley one the most. i would probably wear that also, if i ever wore shirts with collars

    i'll forget the iron chains

if you forget my gold chains
  • i built up a big collection of tshirts and i still like enough of them that i mainly wear tshirts when it is good enough weather for it

tho some of them have disappeared to the back of my wardrobe never to see light of day again. im looking at you, Animals As Leaders shirt
  • In the future everyone will wear chrome and nylon.
  • image Wee yea erra chs hymmnos mea.
You people and your affordable clothes. You disgust me.

the only band merch i own is an AJJ back patch which is currently not affixed to anything

i have no opinion on AAL, though i remember hearing one song of theirs that I liked
  • AAL: first album still has some good moments as far as prog metal goes but im not particularly into it anymore

    second album is boring

third album is shaping up to be super boring

the shirt: it doesnt help that the design is ppeeling off everywhere.

i still own a fairly silly number of band shirts/merch. but out of all of them i have three enemies list shirts (yes one is the no fun. not ever. one) and a kayo dot shirt and a me&lp shirt and those are the only ones i wear on the regular. i like them because they could all ostensibly not be band shirts if you didnt know the band/label. the rest of them... are just old shirts i will throw out eventually. i still have a periphery shirt knocking around somewhere... christ

We can do anything if we do it together.
I'm not huge on CHVRCHES' current output, but I think they have the potential to do better things in the future.
  • all god's creatures, fresh from the grill

so come on down to Mr. Meaty, where friends meet to eat meat
  • im sorry for offending all of the chvrches fans, you can listen to them if you wish

The only episodes that I remember are the tapeworm episode and the demonic wedgie monster episode.

    I've seen worse on Nick.
  • my wardrobe consists of a few rumpled blazers, some vintage military jackets/coats, two leather jackets, some collared shirts ranging from Brooks Brothers to wild chevron-covered numbers, a few pairs of jeans, a few pairs of chinos, a pack of white t-shirts and some straggling black ones, some crazy socks and a nice selection of shoes, including one pair of sneakers, a pair of loafers, dark blue boots, brown suede monkstraps and my favorite, a rather wrinkled, well loved pair of black italian oxfords with rubber soles

i am mostly content with it
  • I would definitely like a No Fun. Not Ever. shirt
  • I only really remember that it was kinda crappy and Parker was the bigger guy

also it was set in the Scaunchboro Mall
  • image Wee yea erra chs hymmnos mea.
    image
  • my most prized tshirt probably is a dan hillier shirt which i bought off the man himself and has (the top half of) this design on it

    image
that's a good ass shirt which has been washed and washed for years and despite the complexity of it the print is still fresh as hell. good ass quality shirt. £20 but worth it
  • for some reason my avatar is really popular on Tumblr

apparently people really like Excalibur, which is good because Excalibur is hella
  • I would definitely like a No Fun. Not Ever. shirt

the question is: in black or in white?

mine is white but they only did white back when i put my big elhr order in
  • image Wee yea erra chs hymmnos mea.
Excalibur is actually the personification of Satan.

and that's why he is hella
  • i really need some more shoes. i had 3 pairs of trainers but 2 of them started leaking and now i have only one pair of very green nikes

i have some formal shoes as well but they rub and ruin my heels completely whenever i wear them so eh to them
  • things i still want:

    * a filson tin cloth shirt-jacket

    * a good watch (preferably this one)

    * a pair of brown wingtips

    * a pair of selvedge jeans

    * a few more chinos just to round out my pants selection
  • that watch is wicked
  • that's a very nice watch

What I remember most about Mr. Meaty was that it inspired ire for airing on Nicktoons Network because it was not a cartoon

Come to think of it, the sheer amount of failed Nicktoons we've had since 2005 is staggering
