Daigo Umehara is the most famous professional 2D fighting game player in the world. He's nicknamed 'the Beast' or 'the God of 2D fighting games'
He's best known for his match against Justin in 2004, where he flawlessly countered Chun-Li's 15-hit Super Combo while on a single sliver of health, using the Super Gauge gained from doing so to activate his own special and win the match.
Also, the past week has made me really appreciate the little things in my normal life. I can sleep in a proper bed, not a cot! I have my own room! A bathroom, with plumbing, where I can take showers every day! I don't have to wear a uniform all hours of the day! I don't have to get dosed with CS gas in the face again!
Life is awesome!
Oh, wait, I still have to go back next week and the week after. At least that thing with the CS gas isn't happening again.

you kids these days with your rapidly growing concern for the state of the world and your knowledge of important issues at increasingly younger ages despite having been told your opinions don’t matter by the adults who put you in these situations

Sometimes there's this pattern amongst fiction dealing with ancient things, highlighting that stuff to be highly advanced or more powerful than anything that descends from it.

For some reason I'm thinking about TVT's original MLP:FIM thread
There was somebody who absolutely DESPISED Pinkie Pie
By the point in our species' existence that we invent Time Travel, would there really be anything here, in this timeline, worth learning from or taking to risk coming here in a Time machine?
I have moved onto the theory that time machines do exist in the future that could travel to this point in time, but that kind of futuristic world could no longer benefit from traveling to this time.
If the ancient Egyptians hadn't invented the God Cards -- Obelisk, the Tormentor; Slifer, the Executive Producer; and Mega Ultra Chicken -- then no one would ever despise Pinkie Pie.

Stephen Hawking suggests that the fact that we don't see tourists from the future is proof that time travel ain't ever gonna happen

Humanity does a lot of things that don't benefit us.
It'd have to be very, very far in the future if we manage to override that.

Why would tourists come here? What's here that won't in the future or in the past?

It's basically like touring New Jersey.
