So, I'm trying Pusha T's album out since I liked his verse on Mercy so much

    thoughts later, I guess!
    it's gud

  • In 2007, back when I was still an active alcoholic (read: inhumanly and insanely drunk virtually 24/7) who enjoyed enhancing his buzz with illicit pharmaceuticals of all sorts, lamb of god played Hove Fest outside picturesque Arendal, Norway. My guitarist Mark and I were very excited to learn that Clipse was scheduled to play the festival the night before us, and we hoped to arrive in time to catch their set. We didn't, but got wind of an after party just a block from our hotel, so we cruised over to say hello to our fellow Virginians. As we walked over to the Thornton brothers, I prepared to introduce myself, but Mark just whipped out his driver's license and threw it on the table in front of them — they immediately knew we had come to represent the home team. Pusha and Malice were super-nice guys, and seemed honestly happy to see some people from home in this odd Nordic setting.

Maybe I might bring down a bolt of lightning onto my opponent out of nowhere and strike 'em horizontally at the same time. That might be cool.

  • More than halfway through the problem set for the midterm.

Turns out that there was another chapter on it that I haven't even looked at yet. However, things are going well enough. Might just pull this off.

  • I'm not sure why I enjoy this song so much. It's so silly and yet addicting.

bleh, parents asked me to go to the store tonight

in the summer i don't mind that so much since it means i get to go for a drive, but in the winter it's just kind of an inconvenience

we don't even have Meijer out here, though I have been to ones in Michigan

also: I took a picture of a Kellogg's display with Frosted Flakes and Cheez-It logos on it at Walmart yesterday

They have Pringles there now; the Kellogg Company bought the product line from Procter & Gamble in 2012
  • The closest I've gotten to Meijer is seeing their store brand snacks on sale. They're sold at my local Ollie's, strangely enough; then again, Ollie's was never attached to any one brand in particular.

They had a bunch of LittleBigPlanet books with enclosed posters last time I went. I should try to get one next time...

So basically GBS is imitation 4-chan then? Got it!

You have no idea how much this would piss them off.

    But yes.
    YES.

And I am well aware of why this would infuriate them. That only makes it better.
Because 4chan is shit :D and anime. I'm not even kidding.
  • Ollie's is a weird store.

    Indeed.

However, this in itself isn't a bad thing.

because although on the face of it, it seems like an ugly generalization about two TV shows that i enjoy, i can't off the top of my head find any particular fault with the argument

that and on a personal level it always bothers me whenever someone makes a post about the middle class that describes me more closely than i would like, since i don't consciously try to be a stereotype

and also yes being a fairly immature individual in many respects, and one who enjoys Moffat's writing for the most part, the central thesis there disturbs me >_<

It's just a British twitter marxist getting angry about the TV of their homeland.

    It's all they do, really.

Sort of. The people that inspired those lovely impressions of ADTRW back in the day were the same folks that became 4chan's first regulars after getting themselves banned for... various things, really.

This is the same reason SA has had multiple white supremacist spinoffs.

I prefer old Who, with Patrick Trotting / Troughton / Traughton / Trotton.

i guess one thing i would say is that the argument seems not to have much to do with Sherlock

if Moffat's interpretation of Sherlock Holmes was a father, he'd be a shockingly bad father, and there's no-one on that programme who appears to be a competent mother figure, either, with the possible exception of the less-than-prominent Mrs Hudson, who certainly does baby the alleged father figure Holmes

principally the argument appears to be directed at Doctor Who

Ah, I figured there was more to it. I haven't paid much attention to 4chan since 2008, and even then I was still fuzz on the early history since I didn't hang out on SA.

old Doctor Who and new Doctor Who are both extremely diverse programmes, with a lot in common with one another

my preference is probably for the new, but i haven't seen nearly enough of the old to say for sure

alligator skin looks fine on an alligator, but only on an alligator
