but like, both combine over the topness with everyday environments and scenarios
KLK's setting is fictional but feels like a pastiche of real world high school and stuff
KLK is weird to me because I like the show and setting SO MUCH but I would also enjoy pretty much any of the characters in a vacuum and this fuels a desire for all sorts of alternate continuity doujin that don't seem to exist yet.
It's a really complicated pun that only sort of makes sense, and only when you take into account that "Kill la Kill" pronounced by a Japanese tongue is "Kiru ra Kiru".

There used to be an arcade called The Dragon Palace not far from where I live. I went there a few times before they closed it down in 2008. Sad-ass place if I've ever seen one although you could tell it used to be nice-looking.

i was looking at the free themes and i was like, i don't much like any of these
so i stuck with the default

back in my day Tumblr wasn't money hungry and had free themes as far as the eye could scroll. It was glorious before they killed it, but I can understand why it happened (enough people submitted crappy copies of other people's themes that it became easier/more profitable to emphasize the premiums)
I'd probably buy a theme or two if I had money to burn but I don't, so I've stuck with free. I don't change my theme as often as I used to because of that.

It's funny, I stuck with Redux (which, at the time, was the default) because I couldn't really find anything that especially caught my eye
Then I made all these little tweaks to it over the years
And now I stick with it because moving to a new theme would mean having to redo all my little customizations
I suppose it might be worth a shot if I could find one that caught my eye...
