Great. So now that you have a superpower, what's your X-Man name going to be?
I dunno but I have like the lamest form of synesthesia EVER
like sometimes I see like months and times of the day as being on a weird wavy line, who caaaaaares I wanna see colors when I look at letters and taste sherbet when it rains.

I feel masochistic
I think I'm gonna pirate a copy of Windows Vista and run it in a VM for laughs

Nearly everyone involved expected the experiment to be short-lived. The Nixon administration and many Washington insiders viewed the NRPC as a politically expedient way for the President and Congress to give passenger trains a "last hurrah" as demanded by the public. They expected Amtrak to quietly disappear as public interest waned.[28]
I know Amtrak kinda sucks
But I'm glad this didn't happen
Having mediocre quai-governmental passenger rail service is better than having no passenger rail service at all

Does anyone else ever get vivid mental images of photographs that don't exist?
Like earlier I was imagining a photo of me and Anonus sitting at a table together looking at a laptop and laughing
Even though that's never happened
An old photo, whose black and white have faded to sepia over the decades. The scene is a dusty farm, somewhere in the American west. Two men pose with rifles in front of a barn. Between them, a dead pteranodon is mounted, wings outspread, on the barn door.
It's funny how a lot of people can name the Planets of this solar system, but cannot name Bowen's reaction series.
Geology is a cool science, and I don't know why it keeps getting treated like some sort of unwanted tag-along kid, while Astronomy is treated like the queen of sciences.
Why does knowing the andesite line make you a dorky nerd, but knowing the asteroid belt just make you a normally-educated person?
Now I'm watching The Price is Right, and hey, they did re-record the cues. I can understand why; the old ones date back to the mid-1970s, and were probably in stereo at best, whereas newly-recorded ones can be had in 5.1 surround.

I remember being sad when they replaced all the aging eggcrate displays and the like with modern LCDs
I like physical archives. I realize digital archives are necessary, but this dominance of digital media and the idea that we should digitize everything and destroy the physical records so as to save on storage space is terrible.
I miss records, record players, tape recorders and tape players, books on tape and floppy disks. I like non-digital photographs, the kind with negatives and only a few copies of each. The kind with actual film, where you take several pictures and choose the best one to put in front of a photo album (another thing I prefer to a digital image folder). I like those old projectors with the rotating thing storing the pictures and turning to show the next picture. I like old headphones that don't go in your ear. I like typewriters and old calculators that make a paper thing come out.
I like machines with physical moving parts, and not just screens and tactilely featureless flat screens in a rounded-edge rectangle form. Tactile-wise, iPhone and tablets are blank surfaces unresponsive to touch, and of a boring shape.
Sure, the screens look very good, but they're tactiley silent. All sight and no touch. No knobs or dials.

Vinyl is making a comeback in the music world the premium audiophile format, and cassettes certainly have a following. As for physical archives like microfilm and card indexes, there are always going to be printed copies of important documents out there just in case, even if they are little used.
Aesthetically speaking, I think that library stacks are the coolest thing ever. I used to volunteer in the central branch here, and it was really fun to hang out back there.
Words SA finds more intrinsically hilarious than most people would
1: Anime
2: Autism

Words Tumblr finds more intrinsically hilarious than most people would
1: Cracker
2.....
3. Profit!
SA and Tumblr are two websites filled with young, frequently privileged, frequently white nerds who tend to feel uncomfortable about their privilege and their nerdiness so seek to make others feel bad about themselves in socially acceptable ways. SA is slightly whiter, slightly more privileged, and slightly more unified; Tumblr is nerdier, more diverse, and has more dumb teenagers.

You forget weird 40 year old men who like to post like racist teenagers.
I have no idea what is causing all these games to suddenly suck especially when many of them worked fine before on this same computer.
I really doubt it's a RAM issue, only about a third of my computer is being used for anything right now according to that helpful bar under the harddrive's infographic in Windows Explorer.

I really don't like how "privilege" is understood and used.
I know the nuances of it escape me, and I know that I'm rather ignorant of tumblr and Social Justice; but it appears to me that things like "check your privilege" are a way to discount the viewpoints and opinions of people, because their origins have conditioned them to think in certain ways.
It's not your real opinion, you've just been conditioned to think that way, and if you saw the truth, you would agree with me.
Can someone explain how I am wring here if I am wrong?

Shit, it's already started since I've finished that game thrice
I thought that was just an in-joke.

This cat has subscribed to my channel.
obvious joke.
Again with the fucking horrible lag. And Dark Souls actually kicks you for it, so it's not like I can just ignore it.
