WTVN-TV is such a good callsign.

    I know.

I wish they'd kept it; now it's only used for the AM station, which airs pretty much nothing but Conservatalk.

I remember when AU had that "Fox News" signature. I always thought it was weirdly political for him.

Probably the thing for replacing troper tales they came up with.

Back from the mall. Got a couple pictures.

The former Lazarus store at Eastland Mall. Was briefly a Macy's before they bought out Kaufmann's and the then-newly-built Kaufmann's became a Macy's instead.

An old "TO I-70" assembly at the exit from the Eastland Mall parking lot. You can't tell in this picture, but there isn't actually an arrow below the shield. I can't tell if it's long since fallen off or if they just expect you to know I-70 is to the left.
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
You know there are some state-name I-70 shields not far from home.

    That's understandable.

I've been paying attention to road signs in Ohio since I was like 9, so I can kinda pick up on the subtle changes in ODOT's and the City of Columbus's sign practices over the years, but when I go out-of-state I have no clue how old anything is aside from "ClearviewHwy is probably newer than FHWA."

And I'm not sure how long TC@A's has been there.

One of the things I hate about Disney is that they were the major player in pushing for basically unlimited copyright extensions. >:(
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I find it hard to think of them as a conglomerate. They haven't really used ABC for much synergistic (is that a word, Firefox thinks so) stuff lately.

I find it hard to think of them as a conglomerate, too, especially when compared to, say, NBCUniversal.

Also it's still weird to me that they own Marvel now.

    NBCUniversal is good at cross-promoting.

Unfortunately one of the namesake properties has spent much of the company's existence floundering.

  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
NBCUniversal doesn't seem that large to me.

For some reason my mind leaped to this thing. No one's quite sure what it is, but it's sort of used as a landmark between super-rich Bexley and the much less affluent neighborhood to the west.
