Yeah, I found it weird that they have locations in Alaska and Hawaii but none of the New England states.

I remember that logo well, but I spent several years of my childhood living in an apartment complex on the corner opposite a White Castle.
...and on the near corner was a Borders bookstore. Mother and I used to walk there on summer afternoons and buy books that we read when we got home.

I did this from memory, so I have no idea how accurate it actually is:
...God. I miss living within walking distance of things. Fuck the suburbs.

The space between the letters is just as wide as the space between the words, how tacky:

Probably the same stuff I do now (i.e., be lazy all day) but in pony form.

I bought some of the most influential books I ever read at Borders. 'Twas there I attained my copies of Ulysses, Gravity's Rainbow, and the Gormenghast novels, among others.
The one nearest to where I live had a really crap parking lot, though

I think the sacrifice of opposable thumbs would be pretty big. Unless you were a unicorn.
Why would I need opposable thumbs to be lazy?
^ We always walked to ours, like I mentioned earlier, though I do recall it having a rather small parking lot.
I miss Borders. I'm not sure what it was, maybe it was the people they hired, but the atmosphere at Borders was wonderful. It just seemed to have a down to earth attitude that really made the place fun to go to. All the people at the local Barnes and Noble come of as snobby and Books a Million is rather personality-less. I remember ordering Romance of the Three Kingdoms at Borders back in 6th grade.
I love talking about points in time (e.g. specific dates, years, events) as though they were places we could visit. "Let's go to the 1982 World's Fair again!"

I kinda want to draw my princessona now.
The only problem is I can't draw, and I especially can't draw all the elaborately frilly fabrics and stuff that would be required for my princess dress.

But there are White Castle locations there!
Maybe it's just because I'm too young, but I barely remember White Castle even using this logo in any form aside from the text.
It's so old looking. Very 70s.

It's so wrong, and so right.
