Triple Elation was a really cool guy who honestly had nothing but good intentions and really got screwed over. I have no idea what he's doing right now, but I hope that he's doing well.
It wasn't even like he was badmouthing the site in the thread. He expressed his frustration with things that I think anyone in his position would be frustrated with, but because of the context, he was banned.
Triple Elation was a rather well-regarded troper who was one of the original architects of the P5 content clean-up board on TVT. He resigned fairly early on and aired his grievances about what he had to deal with on SA, which he had been a member of about as long as he had been on TVT. This got him banned.
I feel like a lot of our perceptions of TvT as it is now are in a lot of ways colored by the fact that of course it's going to seem like it's massively different when you and your friends don't go there anymore. I'm sure it's changed a lot but I don't think calling it cold and sterile is terribly fair.

Eddie labeling Triple Elation a "traitor" was a moment that stuck with me, because it confirmed that yes, Eddie really does think in terms of black-and-white, with SA as an "enemy" and no middle ground.
Like, before that, I suspected that he thought that way, but there was always that little doubt of "well, maybe I misinterpreted this", but that pretty much sealed it for me.

i realize my post was ambiguous, but my disappointment during that incident was entirely with Eddie, not Triple Elation
