You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

Nyanners' version of "Tipsy" is in my head and it's all your fault
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Trans/ non-binary gendered individuals are already being trivialized by prejudiced people in the first place in an attempt to uphold some status quo of their understanding of gender and sex.
This is indeed true. Personally, I think that makes it all the worse to trivialize their experience in the guise of helping them.
I do not understand the appeal of Thin Hair Chin Man where I completely understand the appeal of Doge. Both are stupid, sure, but one amuses me where the other simply baffles me.
well, i was thinking, both have trolling potential, since people are evidently sick of seeing them, which causes people to post them all the more
this is true of doge, at least; i don't recall ever seeing thin hair chin man anywhere other than HH but some of the ones Nick has posted feature characters going 'what is this shit this isn't a good mene it doesn't make any sense' so i'm inferring it from that
it does at least feature a cute animal which somewhat makes up for people spamming it everywhere
I'm not a fan of spamming any such thing everywhere, as it is uncreative and dilutes the effect. However, in small doses, I find the Doge meme entertaining because of its... tone, I suppose? I imagine it being said in a voice suited to some kind of mutated cave-dweller out of a post-apocalyptic sci-fi B-movie: "Much expensive! Such coooost..." Coming out of the mouth of a surprised-looking Shiba Inu... I can't help but giggle.

i could be way off but thin hair chin man feels kind of like an anti meme to me
like there's all these advice animals and weird characters like Insanity Wolf, Overly Attached Girlfriend, Bad Luck Brian, Musically Oblivious Eighth-Grader, etc.
and then you have Thin Hair Chin Man, who is... a man, with a chin which isn't that big, and hair that isn't that thin

i dunno
Yeah, it does seem like a stab at "ironic" meme-ing...
He looks decent enough in it, but he is seriously wearing the wrong getup for that hat.
there is no right getup for that hat, look at the side detailing
Looking closer at it, you are correct. The basic pattern, structure and colours are nice, but that detailing is... weird and ugly. Why would you do that to that kind of hat design?

It seems that cynicism, protesting, rejecting authority, individualism, drugs, rock and roll, miniskirts, and the free spirit of following no rules because you're not the boss of me, it seems that in the U.S., these things caught on in the sixties; and still inform a lot of Internet culture today (see the people who illegally download music and stuff).
But now those rebellious rocking-and-rollling kids of the sixties are the adults of today. What will happen when pink Floyd or the beatles are the adults in charge of maintaining the system? What happens when the last of the squares dies of old age and there's nobody to keep you down and try to force you back into the system, man? What happens when The Man is no more and it's the rebels who are in charge?
They're already the adults in charge of maintaining the system.
i feel like you may have a skewed perspective on what's the norm; rock and roll passed into the mainstream long ago, but a lot of the things traditionalists complain about are still very much minority viewpoints outside the humanities wings in universities.
Such as linguistic descriptivism, as i remembered only after i calmed down the other day, at which point the conversation was over.
(i hate that "cynicism, protesting, rejecting authority, individualism, drugs, rock and roll, miniskirts, and the free spirit of following no rules because you're not the boss of me" are getting lumped together like they're part and parcel of the same ideology here)

Additional info: The original comic was about Dwarf Fortress
accurate?
They didn't seem to belong.
Bruno Mars did a great show, though.

RHCP should've done "Dani California" too.
Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead
Bruno did an improvised drum solo, "Locked Out Of Heaven", "Treasure", and "Just the Way You Are".

i dunno
he wanted people to respect his privacy
the only picture I have of myself in a trilby on the internet barely shows what I'm wearing
well, they're being worn badly, i can see that much
i'm not greatly concerned with how other people dress, besides admiring looks that work and finding it funny if someone looks really stupid
