Hey there, new people! This is Heapers' Hangout, a site for randomness. No, seriously, you'll find everything here from My Little Pony to knife fights to drum 'n bass music. And that's on a normal day.
The forum was started in 2011 by Anonymous User (or, as we call him, Anonus or AU) and Central Avenue (she goes by CA too) as an offshoot of the site TV Tropes, and a thread in particular on their forum named, appropriately enough, "The Trash Heap of the TV Tropes Forum".
We do have quite a bit of overlap between TVT and this site (most of the people here are or were members there), but as long as you stick to the rules and make yourself known, we'll welcome you in like everyone else. After all, a community can't ever grow without new members.
I'm Tre. I joined here in July '11 because I was bored. I've sort of self-adopted the official unofficial role of taking in newbies; if you need any help with anything on the site, just drop a line to the official staff or me through the private messaging system.

On the smoking discussion awhile back, smoking cigars or pipe tobacco can be enjoyable, so long as you find what you enjoy. I rather like the taste of flavored pipe tobacco or medium body cigars. There is of course the health risk, but that's something I've considered.
Can't say I like most cigarettes though. I've only ever tasted one cigarette that I enjoyed smoking.
