So it turns out my doctor's appointment was cancelled and the office tried to call my cell phone because that's the number I gave them
My cell phone has been disconnected for weeks
So I drove all the way across town for nothing and now I'm looking to crash

I've been watching Ashens lately. His reviews are good as background noise, since there usually isn't much going on.
I realize this sounds pretty demeaning, but I'm not trying to be. He's witty, and the stuff he reviews is quite "interesting", for lack of a better term.
I agree. Unless he's reviewing something visually interesting (like some of those hideously deformed dolls) it can be nice to just have his videos on in the background.
Smee, Maiman, Doktar, Pavelier, Button-Lee, Juan Ovyu
Yeah. Besides most of the time he's reviewing Popstations or something like that you can hardly see what's on the screen anyway (and even then it's always the same three games)
I like doing Liveblogs because I like sharing media with people.
Probably why I also like Let's Play.
SPEAKING OF WHICH
I got a new mic for christmas so I'm gonna start doing a Yume Nikki LP via livestream at some point, would you be in? (relatedly, said mic should fix the weird noise issues we had last time).

I'd like to, but things are a bit hectic with school.
If you do it on weekends beginning on fridays it should be fine.

You know what I want?
A printed wall calendar that looks like a screenshot of an old Windows 9x calendar program

I guess I could print actual screenshots but they'd probably look kinda shitty
I think I'm gonna try recreating it as a vector graphic of some sort
Then I'll print both and see which one comes out nicer

Wikipedia covers noticeably different topics. Wikipedia lacks a lot of things like commentary on recent media -- the most you'll get is, for something really famous, a few lines about critical reception, all sourced to specific articles. Not a place to get anything like a crowdsource pulse. Wikipedia also lacks information on, well, tropes -- all those little things that fiction makes use of and which can tell us about the thoughts of the work's creators as well as its cultural context.
As for why I'd want to discuss something that unpleasant, it's relevant to topics like (1) the linkages between cuteness, aesthetic value, sexual attractiveness, neoteny in humans, and stuff like that (which is a seriously unexplored topic in psychology and sociology), as well as (2) Japanese cultural views on gender, sexuality, and gender roles (specific example available on request, but I'd rather not post it first because, as you observed, this material is pretty damn unpleasant).
> though I do know that I found good swathes of the wiki covered with their...precious bodily fluids, if you will.
Y'know what went wrong first? The first thing that went wrong was that stuff like Troper Tales and Fetish Fuel ever became things in the first place. Having little sections like that was basically hosting havens encouraging this sort of behavior.
The wiki should have just focused on cataloguing tropes and actually being serious about that objective. (Breezy and informal language is still possible; that's a "how we're doing it", while the site focus is a "what we're doing".)
Professor teaching seminar about the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Or she would be starting, tomorrow. Last week's class was canceled due to snow-caused closure of university.
But this time, she's stuck in Alabama, attending a conference on the environmental effects of that spill, and unable to get back because of an impending ice storm. Return flight cancelled. Then rebooked return flight cancelled too.

I may look slightly different in this photo, it's because of the angle
Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead
I'm honestly surprised that isn't a common last name, it strikes me as an ordinary sounding one
I really like it at the same time though because of that
That one just started off as a product of censorship but I've kind of accepted the fact that it's my internet last name everywhere but Facebook
If nothing else, that one's cool for not sounding ordinary at all
is extremely mysterious because I don't even know what it means beyond sharing nomenclature with some towns
I guess I like it but eh
but other than that and other (white, I might add) people with it I can't find anything related to it
All you'll own is hair until
You can thin with all the colors of the chin

Idk, we'll see as we get closer. Have to work on a good sound setup and such.
