    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
^^ So he means that self-righteous homophobes are rightfully called out by others religious and not, but persecuted minorities are lauded for making a stand even though it may get them ostracised?

Huh. That doesn't sound so bad!

    ^ Star Cruise.

I'm not gonna post anymore, just go here. Todd in the Shadows was annoyed by it but couldn't respond to all of them so he just made a twitter dedicated to that one particular comparison and basically said "pretend I said something witty about this."

But they care what you're thinking, just because you don't believe in the space devil, doesn't mean homophobes, terribly executed joke.

    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
They aren't worth it, but their leaps of logic are occasionally entrancing in their total disassociation from reality.
  • The mere existence of an opposing opinion doesn't mean said opinion is equivalent is the takeaway from this.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
Yeah, that's kind of obvious. Not to them, though.
  • That said, it's a takeaway I've already, erm, taken away. Several times. Anyone need a spare?

Ironic for a woman who hunts wolves with sniper rifles from the air. How quaint.
  • I watched the first episode of Sherlock recently.

Absolutely fantastic. Wonderfully paced, great payoff, phenomenal characterization (Cumberbatch and Freeman are perfect for their characters), and it created a cat-and-mouse feel similar to The Dark Knight. Will watch more soon.

Actually, I don't think that's the right use for the word ironic.

Also, have another phrase from her, It's in the same sentence

"Those “intolerants” hatin’ and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us." ~ Sarah Palin.

    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
^^ Irony is about contrasts and subversions of expectations. A woman comparing "freedom of speech" (read: being a dick on TV) to an endangered species as if that were a bad thing while condoning the hunting of a species to extinction is ironic indeed.

^ I've heard that he's the best part of that film by nautical miles.

I don't get how jeans can be that expensive. I mean, they all look basically the same, so if they're really expensive they should be like really really comfortable.

  • The logistical problem with using magic wishes in any fictional narrative is that people are going to think of better ways to use the magical wishes than understand that the wishes are actually a device through which you could judge a character.
  • The logistical problem with pagetoppers is that usually some very informative posts get left at the bottom of a page and that's just terrible 40 cakes.

It helps that the kind of wishes the Triforce grants are very vague. A Link to the Past's ending is a good showcase of this. I think the Triforce more or less grants what you really truly want and fulfills the wish to the extent to which you want it, if that makes any sense.
  • Just saw the blog of someone who was kind of a bully towards me when I was a freshman at my old school.

Talk about cognitive dissonance. Usually it’s “act nice IRL, act like an jerk online.” For some reason I find the opposite a lot more disconcerting.

I like to think I’m reasonably the same IRL as I’m online, but I worry that this isn’t the case.
