I hadn't thought of that, admittedly
Part of me says "but that will narrow your potential audience!" but really my blog isn't really intended for anyone but me and my friends anyhow

Should we give "personal" threads their own category since every HH regular seems to have one now?

In the later parts of Grant Morrison's run on Animal Man, the titular character travels through a limbo of abandoned comic book characters. During his travels, he meets then-abandoned character Mr. Freeze who went from being a standby in Batman's rogues gallery to not existing in the new continuity, due to his one-note nature (he freezes things). Mr. Freeze tells Animal Man it has been a very long time since he as seen a human face, and asks for something to remember it by. Animal Man then gives Mr. Freeze a picture of his(Animal Man's) family. Mr. Freeze is overjoyed by this, and begins to hope to be restored to continuity.
Later, Mr. Freeze's character would be made famous by an episode of the Batman animated series, which gave him a defining character trait: a family in the form of a beloved wife, Nora, who he was committing crime to save the life of.
My sister is sick, and I lost a good Hat (not Daz Huat, I lost one of my backup hats that I wear under Daz Huat so that if I lose Daz Huat, I'm still wearing a hat).

I will have you know I find this very cool.
I have heard about this before and also find it very cool.
^ It is believed to have been written for a social club known as the Ordre des Fumeux, or Order of Smokers. What they smoked precisely is a matter of debate.
I forgot to bring this up earlier, but it begs the question: Conterclock, why are you now the second (or third) most reprehensible character in Fullmetal Alchemist?
Granted, this is with respect to the first television series. Manga!Envy is apparently a lot more... sad. And I do love their character for what they are. But still.

Only second or third? I'm a bit disappointed to say the least.

Pride is pretty loathsome, although he's probably at third when push comes to shove, and the most wretched person in the series is difficult to contest.

Do you have a new category in mind? Would just "personal threads" work do you think?

Take two guesses as to what it's about.
