It was very cold here today
I had to wear gloves on the way from my car to the classroom

I always found that fascinating...a character design borne of practical technical considerations became one of the most iconic fictional characters of the late 20th century.
Rayman doesn't have limbs for similar reasons (real-life ones, that is). Originally Michel Ancel planned on giving him limbs (as seen below) but animating Ray's model was going to be a pain in the ass so they tried without them, and Michel liked the end result enough that it became Ray's defining quirk.
This is also the primary reason why very few of the characters in the first game have limbs. The advent of 3D helped make the animation easier, so everyone ended up gaining limbs over the course of the series (or outright changing species entirely, like Ales Mansay) with the sole exception of Ray (and, to a lesser extent, Globox, who has kept his intangibly attached webbed feet).

You can see what I was trying to do there when you quote it, can't you?

It was pretty good.
My mother was very annoyed by the handlers cheating by adding new stuff while the game was in progress.
Central goes all "wait, does pretending to run a nation make me crazy? Am I crazy? Am I a broken mind?"
And here I am, making up intimate policy changes in imaginary places relevant to Rozburgian politics; and not feeling at all insane.
I just feel insazne, but I like that feeling. It reminds me of my old friends Lackofboots, Questrayve, and ConversationStarter.
Also, I'm going to try Ghormengast or however it's spelled.
that's all i've got without Googling
