The worst thing about SA mock threads is goon telephone.
Where one goon makes up a thing they think the mockees would do, then another goon repeats it, then goons all firmly believe they've seen someone do this, because they hear about it all the time.
As I go deeper and deeper into the world of RPGMaker, I'm realizing exactly why some of the games I've played were the way they were.
Take Exit Fate, which is one of the best frigging RPGs I've ever played. For free. Most of the armor is, in one way or another, based on the RPGMaker defaults. And a number of the attack animations also ended up being default (as I discovered when they were used by the, erm, cats in Lain's Horrible Adventure)
And the deeper I go, I also find that some things are completely inexplicable based on the defaults.
Like the Standstill Girl. The method of getting skills flies in the face of what RPG Maker was originally designed to do. To which I say 'Impressive, good sir!".

Presumably, Windows Live is the network that Dark Souls uses to connect players.
Getting blocked would make PvP a lot more difficult.
The good news is that Windows Live is getting shut down for reasons and all the games using it will be moving to Steamworks. I don't know how Steamworks is, but it can't be much worse than Windows Live.

is the trope where stalking and other very creepy behaviour is portrayed as comic relief common, or is it just the shows i've watched?
it seems to happen a lot, and it needs to die

Mo would know better than me, all of my games use Steamworks.
Which is worse: Games for Windows Live, or Uplay? I've had cursory experiences with both but not enough to properly form an opinion on either.
