  • And while I'm still talking about SFIV (secret: I never stopped talking about SFIV), what's the deal with Gouken's back throw.

Any Gouken player worth their salt knows that the back throw can be canceled and combo'd into an EX Hurricane Kick or, if the other player's very unlucky, one of his Ultras. It's fairly easy to catch a player in a throw; I deal at least a quarter of my damage out in throws. It's clearly broken. Everybody knows it's broken. And yet there it is, allowing me to be beat by a D rank player.

And while I'm talking about cheap tactics, how about Blanka's Lightning Spam?

I wonder how you guys would react to my two links there.

I was impressed by the Marie curie picture.

Now that you mention it, what the hey is up with Hillary Clinton's hips/waist?

I do like the shiny dresses, though Anne Frank should maybe have had at least one star of David on her dress for reasons of it would be cool.

And poor Susan b. Anthony, what a tight corset!

A decade and a half on, our efforts seem to have effectively eroded the Habsburg's powerbase within the Holy Roman Empire. Right now, Friedrich III is in his mid sixties, and it's looking like the King of Brunswick is going to become the next emperor.

    Screw you.  Screw you all.

I can has some of yer sympathy, bros?  I mean, come on, I want to not be treated like a freak for not showering, and it feels like your whole "If it feels groovy, then just do it" worldview and your "inalienable right to the pursuit of happiness" thing would induce you guys to be all like "yeah, your desire is just as good as mine".

    But noooooooooooooo

Well, OK, let's approach this analytically.  i don't believe you're a troll, so i'm going to take your post at face value.  However, i'll ignore the part about banning stuff because i don't think either of us wants a political debate here.

Not washing is legal, carries health risks, and is inconsiderate and dangerous towards others around you.  In this respect it is entirely comparable to smoking, heavy drinking and compulsive gambling.  It differs in the significant respect that it is not an addiction to something, but rather a strong compulsion not to do something; in this respect, it is more comparable to something like anorexia.

If i am not mistaken, and correct me if i'm wrong, you do in fact wash, you just hate doing it.  In all probability, what you have is a fairly serious phobia which is negatively affecting you.  You seem to have developed a victim mentality about it, which is unfortunate, since this is really just a kind of displacement which prevents you from confronting the problem itself.  The most reasonable and healthy course of action for you to take would be to seek help from a therapist.

i hope that some day you are able to overcome your phobia.

    well that sounds horrendously imbalanced.
It's apparently one of those things where a character has this one really unbalanced factor about it, but the devs keep it in the game to keep the character from being completely terrible.

There's a similar thing with El Fuerte. His ultras are a bit overpowered, and due to an exploit in the programming, he's the only character who can perform an infinite combo (albeit through a series of tricky cancels that would trip up the average player). None of those things are getting fixed because, first, everything else about El Fuerte is nerfed to heck and back and, second, El Fuerte's so unusual in general that nobody ever uses him.

17 is seemingly the most random number, owing to a quirk of human psychology

the shape of the numerals, or the number itself?
  • I don't know.

Anyway, a minute ago I was very certain I heard the squaking of seagulls and the sounds of waves hitting a beach, even though there is nowhere such sound could concievably have come from.

In fact, I sort of hear it again now. What on earth is that? It's not my computer, I muted the speakers to check.
  • Is this some very specific form of tinnitus?
  • I just looked at my system clock to check the date in my EU4 game.

I think I may just be very tired.

    you do get gulls inland

traffic can sound like the sea sometimes

that or one of the neighbours is watching tv
  • There's no traffic in this part of town. None of our houses are close enough together for me to be hearing their TV.

We do get seagulls in this state but not in the winter, and not at night.
