if you were to have said this to me as recently as a few months ago i would have agreed
it took me a while to really listen to him because i started out with some meh performances of his more kinda "normal" sounding prepared piano works and they put me off

but then i watched some performances of his works
and then i got it
As enjoyable as I found that, the vast majority of Cage's work just doesn't quite click as much for me as his contemporaries.
