my dad's new girlfriend is from india and she's one helluva cook
she is also a biomedical researcher with a ridiculous CV so hopefully she's smart enough to catch on to the fact that my father is a total scumlord soonish.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
Septuple-duty, I imagine...
I wasn't serious about the whole "The Incredibles = money-printer" thing, but it wouldn't surprise me if a sequel to it happened down the line. Disney's very intent on getting more mileage out of various Pixar franchises (this is why Monsters University got made and why Andrew Stanton hopes that Finding Dory will be successful and allow him to get back to live-action after the failure of John Carter)

It's quietly snowing here. Temperature is 22F, with a wind chill of 1F.
It's only supposed to get colder from here...I'll be staying indoors as much as possible, thank you.

I've begun re-reading The Secret Garden
Not through a Gutenberg ebook like I normally would, but through the Internet Archive's scan of the original 1911 edition! :3
Practically every type of software has a clause like that in its term of service or license now, mainly to cover the developers' assets if someone tries something stupid (and this is less "Stupid PC Tricks" stupid and more Jackass stupid that they're talking about).
Speaking of iTunes I have once again forgotten how to actually sync stuff to my iPod (because the Sync button is a lie and does not actually do anything).
Why is this so fucking obtuse? I just want to put some albums onto my iPod so I have something to listen to later today, is a drag-and-drop interface too damn complicated?
The Incredibles is probably the only Pixar movie that deserved a sequel but never got one.
It told a wonderfully self-contained story. It doesn't need a sequel at all.
this definitely.
very very few movies "need" sequels IMO.
This is the truth, all those that actually do need sequels tend to either not really be standalone stories or be adaptations of something bigger and more complex.
Also my computer is now in the stage of its life where if I try to view a web page with too many Youtube embeds on it it slows to a crawl. Farewell Heap of Tunes, I knew ye well.

And now you and I are one.
Sort of kind of.
Also, an Incredibles sequel would be OK. Certainly worthier than a Cars sequel...

We actually have a rule against excessive YouTube embeds for that very reason, but I don't think we've ever actually enforced it, in part because threads like Heap of Tunes would be quite worthless otherwise. :V
It did always bother me that iPods require iTunes (or some other compatible software) to load music, while every other player or phone just pops up as a disk drive in Windows Explorer that you can drag your music files to.
(As an aside: Windows 8 renames Windows Explorer "File Explorer", but if I say "File Explorer" nobody will know what I mean.)
I wouldn't mind a sequel to The Incredibles. It doesn't really need one, true, but it could definitely be done well.
I am listening to the self-titled album of one Wolfbait (imagine an umlaut over the "o"), an Irish group who self-identify as a "Kraut-violence" group: Krautrock meets power violence.

Oh well, I suppose.
Also! The world of eRepublik is a supremely strange place.
It will be dark soon.
There is no way out of here.
