this is probably my own fault for havingan insanely fucked up sleeping pattern for the last few days, which i am going to blame on london transport, if i could tube back home at like 3am rather than have to wait up and be awake for the first train at 6am, none of this would be happening
now i feel hungry but we just got back to lancaster, so there is no food in the house, and nowhere is open at 5am, but i cant sleep because im more hungry than sleepy. so i will have to wait until either the shops open or my brain decides it is sleep time. given that shops will be opening in 2 hours theres a reasonable chance i will make it to morning
i got into a nice groove with my sleep times last term and they were even fine ovr christmas, then i got into new year and there were a bunch of parties and now my circadian rhythm has died.
there are a surprising bunch of blogs which still run, some cool ones, usually if i want to download something i can find it.
mostly i do my music on spotify which is Okay. doesnt work if i am offline, but i usually dont listen to music anyway offline, and it doesnt have the more obscure stuff, but that is usually the stuff where a blog can put it up and it wont get taken down
it feels less like a sin, cheese eating, if you cut it into small slices and eat it on its own that way.
just eating a big hunk of cheese feels unhealthy as fuck and so i dislike it, or i save it as an indulgence, and just eat like an entire mozzarella ball or something
all of their shit was out of print wasnt it? that is dumb. maybe someone just really hates contemporary classical
also yea american cheese is usually, in my experience, bad. whereas here in britain even the most standard cheese youll get is a mild cheddar which is pretty hard to get wrong. at worst it is bland. and it is only up from there and we do lots and lots of good cheese.
british cuisine has a terrible reputation, p much rightly so, but we're fucking brilliant at cheese, id say it is our second best food-thing, behind all the food we culturally appropriated from the countries we subjected to brutal imperialist subjugation. real cider is 3rd.
Do you ever feel like you watch/play stuff just for the cultural capital? The ability to be able to be in situations where that thing is in focus and not be completely lost?
I feel like I sometimes buy videogames for that. And I highly suspect that it's why I read a lot of synopses rather than actually experiencing stuff.
yeah chicken korma is cool, so is chicken tikka masala, just about every indian dish. and when you look them up half of them were invented in like birmingham or somewhere, and the other half, actually in india are completely different dishes. like you could order a korma in india and it could be real hot

my sleeping times have been rather off kilter as well lately...
i have been listening to it a lot lately, i quite enjoy it
groovy, man
ives + loud surface noise and horrible loud scraping noises is also cool, but in a different way
i kinda wanna start a lo-fi music sharing blog, filled with interestingly degraded music
except in this day and age it would be like instantly taken down u_u
like it just doesn't seem right
because they are
not to say that we don't have good cheese, we do
but terrible cheese is very much more readily available than in other places, or so i have been lead to understand
but like who?
we will never know
it is most likely more difficult elsewhere
without british imperialism we never could have had anglicized chicken korma
so hail britannia and all that jazz i guess
