    So my uncle is friends with the drummer in a band called Man Man that isn't very famous but is played pretty often in Boulder. I've only heard one of their songs but it's pretty neat, I think.

    lots of EDM kinda trap songs (*like Higher Ground*) have the first half of the kick-snare pattern doing a dubstep kinda thing, with the second half doing something more hip-hop inspired with the kicks but keeping the snare placement the same

    it's just not immediately obvious because of all the hats snare rolls whirling about overhead along with that straight-ahead every beat clap going on

    that said, it seems to be going waaaaay over 140, possibly close to 160

    so idk

    yeah i looked it up on beatport, it's clocking in at 161 BPM

    which is really weird, the 160 range is largely exclusive to experimental dnb, really old jungle tunes and the most spastic of footwork tracks

    so where are you gonna fit it into a mix?
