I figured Moldonia might've been a European-colonized African state of some sort, possibly, and Naveen was mostly black with some western European in him
I'm just going to list out of context some of the things that occur in Psychonauts: A telekinetic bear, a dentist who harvests brains, a sequence wherein you become a giant Godzilla-style monster and terrorize a society of talking fish, and shadowy, trenchcoated government agents who disguise themselves as housewives by brandishing rolling pins and talking disjointedly about pies. A game that features all of these things simply cannot be criticized, it's against the law or something. - Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, in his review of the game.

You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
One of the problems with having the sort of observational skills that AU and I have
Is that I tend to draw conclusions from things and then accept them as "fact" in my head
Like, I noticed a few city (non-emergency) service vehicles had red lightbars, so I jumped to the assumption that it's legal for such municipal vehicles to have red lightbars
But that's not necessarily true, it could just be that the City of Columbus is breaking state law and getting away with it because they're influential
And what's with Naveem and his weird, ambiguous brownness?
I heard that it was the writers trying to make the best of a situation where explicitly defining Naveem's race in any way could have come across badly. If Naveem was definitely black, then you've got Disney's first black prince being a jerkass for a good portion of the film, and a possible "black people should only marry black people!" message. If Naveem was definitely white, then you've got Disney's first black princess finding her happy ending by capitulating to white culture. Rather than dealing with either of those, Disney left Naveem ambiguous, so the viewer can just assume he's whatever they'd prefer him to be.

It's weird that he thinks he can't be funny when he's positive, because he has a fair amount of funny or interesting positive reviews.
Too difficult, they're getting paid by the hour, here, not the result.
I mean, come on, think of the poor exploited workers, and now you have extra demands on their poor, shriveled husks of their selves. Shame on you, are your hands almost fleshless from drawing now?
Typical art critic, not realizing that all artists everywhere are starved husks of men whose fingers shake and who are inches from death, always, no matter what.
-psst, joking here. That probably would have been a good idea. I'm just amusing myself imagining Disney animators as being these shriveled little skeleton-men.-
-note: I realize how messed up that sounds. Sorry.-
I also suppose a lot of the controversy wouldn't have happened if Naveem were the third, or fifth, or twentieth black Disney prince, rather than the first. Instead of being judged as a representative and a potential role model, he could just be judged on his merits as a character.

'Sounds good. Let's have some more fast, down there.' 'Yes, but,' said Masklin, 'why say it? I mean, you could understand "Road Doesn't Work Ahead". Why tell us it works?'

This is probably a bad example but still
also late but
i think everyone does this?
it's the same reason people go around drawing conclusions from insufficient evidence, or calling minor trends curses or lucky streaks or whatever
and the same reason i can use words like 'kitsch' like i have the faintest idea what i'm talking about
so I was playing music from my speaker and it was pretty loud because of the speaker (and also New Years', it's supposed to be party time, etc.)
so my sister screams at me about it, and I stop it
she then proceeds to do the same thing whilst taking a shower (which, I might note, is her preparation to go out to some nightclub; meanwhile, I'm stuck here with the kids)

Funny, that joke wouldn't really work in America because we tend to leave the "s" off the end

You know, that's true
It just seems a bit weird when the hasty conclusions are ones I've drawn from things most people don't notice, and so I've made some assumption and people are like "well how do you know that?" and the answer is that I don't know that, I just think I do because I paid attention to some small detail
Apparently, Fennec Foxes have mouths that act as amplifiers for their tiny vocal chords. When one opens its mouth, sometimes owners have been noted to hear radio stations from said amplification.

I feel like the word Kitsch should refer to the marriage of simple
ordinary objects with extraordinary intricacy like

i shouldn't talk about things i don't understand
Also, the expression on the middle dogs here. They give negative three dangs, and are just sick and tired of this malarkey.
I was gonna say Leonardo Da Vinci, but screw you Italians; the Flemish deserve more recognition.
I told you not to mess with that dog. I told you, 'no

Okay, I didn't tell you, but I'm telling you now. I told you about ovčar, bro. I told you about ovčar.

Dante Gabriel Rossetti would have approved.

2013 was the year I made this video.

i'm not articulating this very well :B
i'm not very observant myself, but i can imagine being in that situation
(most of what i know comes from books, TV or the internet)
Bottom video, that sound at thirty seconds.
