How is it that I am blanking on the source of this all of a sudden...? This came up, like, two days ago with me or something.

It's what Tsubasa Hanekawa would always say to Araragi whenever he'd claim she knew everything.

"Cecilia" is a fun song but the lyrics are very silly.

    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
^^^ Huh. That was not the thing that I was thinking of, although the line is exceptionally similar!

I saw One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. 'tis a good movie.

Filter the ocean. Drink the ocean. Problem delicious.

Well, if you do remember, I'd be interested to hear what it's from, given how similar they apparently are.

That's probably one of my favorite reoccurring exchanges from Bakemonogatari.

Really, the two best things about that show are the dialogue and the total sensory overload.

Brad Dourif was nominated for best supporting actor for One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, but you could have picked a name out of a hat for that movie because everyone was great.

Agreed. The use of the Red/Black title cards to convey emotions was very well done too.

Around my house it's traditional to keep the decorations up until the first of the year. v_v

We tend to use real trees, which kinda rules out keeping it up for more than a few weeks

Wow, you've actually beaten our record. We usually keep them up until late February or sometimes early March, with live trees...

We did not really decorate this year, though. Lean years indeed. u_u

I decorated because...well, we already had the decorations, so even if we couldn't afford more than a couple presents, at least I could still make our house look pretty!

Which reminds me, Bobby asked for a picture of my Christmas tree. Need to snap one before it comes down.

Well, we misplaced all the ornament boxes (still dunno how we managed to do this), so we won't take the tree down until we can find the ornament boxes to safely put the ornaments up, and since everyone's usually preoccupied w/ something else, it just keeps pushed back in our priority queue, hence having a tree up for 4 years.

Our tree's artificial. Last thing we need is needles in the carpet.

I can see that happening, from the little you've told me about your family.

Speaking of Christmas ornaments, the singing christmas lights we've had since I was 3 or 4 finally crapped out this year. I was sad to see those things go.

That's the same reason we got an artificial tree.

my mom had a lot of severe allergies as a kid so they could never have a real tree so we must have a real tree every year and there are pine needles everywhere for the next 6 months

It is a little silly when someone puts a big dead tree on their carpet for a whole month. :p

We had an artificial tree for a long time. It even rotated!

But it kinda got old and crappy so in '09 we got a real tree from Strader's Garden Center and that's what we've done every year since...

Because Concrete can set underwater, Caligula was Nero's uncle, the best story in Astro Boy is The Greatest Robot On Earth, the damsel that Saint George rescued from the dragon was named Sabra, Harold Godwinson's sword was named Gyrngras, ammonia is the only substance with a greater heat capacity than water, Mildred and Patty Hill wrote the tune to Happy Birthday To You and got screwed out of millions of dollars by Warner and by this time Warner has billions of dollars from it that SHOULD NOT BE THEIRS.
