For what it's worth, I also dislike XCKD, in part because of the "author soapboxing" sort of tendency it has

Of course many webcomics commit this sin

I'd like to see said thing try to dissolve honesty, goodness, integrity, loyalty, truth, or hope. Try to melt love, disintegrate mercy, destroy justice. Try to wear away at the everlasting mountain of the truest and most important virtues.

So, apparently, Dunmer are the most common Elder Scrolls race by a wide margin.

Interesting. Not sure how I feel about that though. They're my favorite race but part of the reason why is because they're the "little man," so to speak.

Related: I wish TES would pay more attention to the Khajiits, Argonians, and Orcs. I mean, so far, all of the TES games I've played have felt decidedly elf/human centric. The beast races deserve a game to themselves.

In their mythic traditions, all heroes spend years planning, considering and consulting with wise Sload before taking the correct action and achieving their goal. By contrast their villains all act quickly or rashly and always fail. The Sload language has no word for 'adventure', and the closest equivalent more accurately means 'tragic disaster'.

so basically they are like evil gross hobbits

So what you're saying, Mr. ghost, is that there won't be any positive effects of my campaign against misuse of "literally". But by the same token, there won't be any negative effects, either. My campaign isn't hurting anyone, and if I were to stop it, I obviously wouldn't use my time for anything better. So I have no reason to stop. Thanks for further entrenching me in my ways!

  • I really, really hate Your Fave is Problematic.

It’s like TMZ, but at least the people on TMZ don’t have any pretense of being socially conscious.

It occurs to me now that I just reiterated the argument that Randall Munroe himself used in that comic about nihilism from xkcd's first year or so.

Way to defeat your own arguments, Randall.
