Nonbinary Soda, now available in Bigender Blueberry, Agender Apple, Genderqueer Grape, and Chanticleer Hegemony! And for a limited time only, get your hands on Pounded Patriarchy Peach! It's too good to miss!
(Really, the fact that they have a phone booth at all is kind of puzzling; I'd imagine most people who can afford to shop at that kind of mall have at least a basic mobile phone)

You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

maybe going for the kitsch nostalgic effect?
Hmm, probably.
Plus they opened in 1999; payphones were more common back then anyway.

one of these things is not like the others
Agender Apple? Yeah. It was going to be Neutrois, but then I realised the only fruit beginning with N that I could think of was Nectarine. And that sounds silly.

This probably sounds AU-ish of me, but I was always more charitable towards Crankshaft than I should have been because it's set in my home state

It does help when writing surreal situations, though. I have recently been in the process of writing a story that takes place in the memories and experiences of someone undergoing a Datura-induced vision quest in a possibly haunted house, and when I get tired enough... it can feel like that.
Maybe for the reader, but not for the character. It's basically me trying to capture that feeling that I get when it's really late at night and I'm alone and tired and can't sleep and I start to get afraid of looking in mirrors or out of windows...
So, that's TWO for Gangnam Style and ONE for Walk Like An Egyptian
Gangnam Style: 2
Macarena: 0
Harlem Shake: 0
Jitterbug: 0
Walk like an Egyptian: 1
Kujawiak: 0
In other news, I haven't read Girl Genius since may 31st/29th (comic for 31st seems familiar but I don't really remember it). Yay! No waiting for new comics, I have a bunch unread! I just need a buddy to read the stuff I need to catch up on with.
ALIROZ, DID YOU JUST END A SENTENCE WITH THREE PREPOSITIONS?
Also, ending a sentence with a preposition is perfectly grammatically correct, according to most grammarians.
Yeah, but most dictionaries have singular "they", which has been used for centuries, and that's not something I put up with.
-also, it's latinate languages that you can't end a sentence with a preposition in. English is, is, is, is is is is is is a west germanic tongue like Dutch, Frisian, and Flemish; and in West Germanic languages ending sentences is one thing that prepositions can be legitimately used for.

As an internet person, this is my right
Chris Riddell is sometimes funny, tho not usually what you'd call subtle
why are you delirious, Sredni?
i assume the title is the best thing about it
i sympathize. i know what that's like only too well.
let's keep it that way
^ that's why i prefer it

Not that i would necessarily have changed my answer, tho comparing a folk dance to a bunch of pop dance crazes isn't something i feel happy doing.

i still intend to catch up with the latter two at some point, when i feel like it
i don't particularly care about catching up with The Order of the Stick; i don't find it very funny anymore
not sure about Girl Genius; at least they're apparently out of that castle now
