I have a feeling that a lot of fans may well be seeing Flash Sentry as a surrogate for themselves; I saw someone say something like that in regards to Big MacxFluttershy
Based on my non-existent knowledge of MLP, I am forced to assume these are all accurate names for ponies: Glimmer Toast. Sparkle Spoon. Daylight Hatwear. Transparent Saddle.
The main drain is plot hole or at least story that makes no sense the episode. If the two kids and everything else in the sea were sucked into the drain and they were never heard of again, where did the story come from? Then again later Spongebob seasons really don't have any sense or humor.

Big Mac has at least got a little more development in the comics. Considering Flash is only in EqGs and isn't even seen that much there, I can see that.
I've used him in my fic a few times and it's just sort of "Uh...he's nice...protective of Twilight...and maybe a little dense at times..."
