Inventory: 1000/1000 ♦ Inventory defines how many Prods you have for sale. Currently you have 1000 Prods for sale, all with various HP, Sell Prices and Effects. The Inventory lists how many different Prods you have, but not their quantity. 640 units of Corn would count as 1/1000, while 1000 variations of 1 unit of any item would count as 1000.
The Masses grow by selling products that increase their lifespan, like Produce (PRODUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE), Rx Prods, Food Prods and general healthcare Prods, and decreases the frequency of you killing them. Selling a good mix of positive products along with your hostile and dangerous products can support The Masses and keep them from declining to 0, which will end the game.
You can't opt out harmful products if The Masses demand them on certain Calendar Crisis days like Zombie Invasions, Civil Wars, City Riots (in which many of the Masses will enter your store to purchase different Riot-themed Prods like Torches, Pitchforks, Bricks, Firearms and other assortments), otherwise you will lose business to other Supercenters who DO sell Harmful Products.
Also, many harmful products will cause Addiction, which will sustain the popularity of the store at the cost of the health of The Masses. It will stabilize profits, and then slowly kill The Masses.
You make money, and sustain the popularity of your store by getting them addicted and have them consistently return everyday. It does increase the chances of Store Damage, Theft and Employee Death by a certain amount depending on how much drugs and booze you sell.
It also means that a different Superstores Legal Team can challenge you to a Lawyer duel to suspend your ability to sell alcohol (which will start a Riot since you can no longer satiate the addiction of The Masses), in which you hire Lawyers to defend your Superstore in a Lawyer Duel. If the Superstore wins the Lawyer Duel, you lose your ability to sell, and if you win, you gain Settlement money depending on the lawyer duel.
Your Popularity with vary depending on the day (Highschool Proms, Day-Long Depressions, and Graduation Ceremonies will skyrocket your store's Popularity while Health Walks, Random Disease Awareness Days and Prohibition Days will decrease your Popularity dramatically.)
