i actually can't think of anything particularly shitty that Wales has done, but that's because it's been in the shadow of England most of its existence
most of the bad things in Scotland and Northern Ireland can be attributed to English influence in any case
so being proud of one's Englishness means turning a blind eye to a lot that probably shouldn't be ignored
Isn't England where a lot of modern ideas about freedom and liberty originated (in a modern context, that is)? That's something to be proud of.
Even though I will admit to not knowing very much about England's brief time as a "republic", though I am under the impression that it was not terrific.

but yes, and don't get me wrong, there's a lot about my country that i love and admire
i just feel that being proud about things your country did means accepting responsibility for its faults as well
and i don't want to feel guilty for being born in a particular part of the world, you know?
well there is a difference between being proud of your country and being blindly devoted to it.
I consider myself a patriot, which is a large chunk of the reason why I find a lot of what goes on in America today reprehensible. It goes against the principles this country was built on. Even if these principles were not always enacted well--even at the time--they are good principles, and that's also kind of why I get pissed off when people describe the American Revolution as a bunch of white people not wanting to pay taxes*.
I don't know enough about The United Kingdom or her constituent nations to know what you would be proud of if you were a British patriot, but I am sure there must be something. Many things, probably.
*not that it's not true to an extent, but this is never the reason people say it. Plus, that kind of oversimplified pop history is dangerous

also, I think using Reimu-B is a must even though I prefer Marisa-A, since Reimu-B has lots of attack range and a low-damage spell that sucks in a lot of stars.
