Hmmm. I know I've brought this up before, but my "generation" has always bugged me. Most of the famous Gen X movies describe people 5-10 years older than I am (my cousins' age), and they always struck me as a bit over my head. Also, I'm a bit too old to be into a lot of the things millennials are into. So, cohort-wise, I've always been kind of that weird kid wandering around the lunch room, looking for people to sit with.
Also, is it just be, or did the Baby Boomers have a huge guilt complex (the yuppies, anyway)? It seems like a lot of Boomer movies are all handwringing about the 1960s, Vietnam, and even just normal adult stuff like parenthood.
