I've apparently committed every codpiece I've seen in media to memory.
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
That probably means something but we will not think about it
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
    Holy cannoli.

I am ten minutes into the Not Here/Not Now version of Swans' "The Seer" and I'm not even a quarter of the way through. Also, it is amazing.

    DONGLES
  • An thunder smash the roof of the building and bits of tile flew every where and it was very scary. Like if youve ever jumped in front of a bus and the bus was being driven by satan and there was a dead frog on the front and fire instead of a windscreen - thats how scary it was.
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
I'll never be able to write like that, I may as well give up now

...Should I be concerned that some of my writing looks like that?

Dan sipped his tea and looked back to Hiram who had begun sticking his hands on
open air and licking it on a plane parallel to his palms; like a mime might do
if it was trapped in a particularly tasty invisible box.

Hard hitting season 4 episode where Applebloom  jumps in front of a bus and the bus was being driven by satan and there was a dead frog on the front and fire instead of a windscreen.

For once, or maybe twice, I was in my prime.
I think there's something to be said to enjoying nu-metal pseudo-ironically.

Some day it will be viewed the way hair metal is.
Unlike hair metal, a lot of nu-metal's fans from back in the day still legitimately think it's good.

Anyway, I unironically like Soulfly's Prophecy.

    ZuCKER.
  • "THOU PUTTETH YOUR EVIL LEG IN!" night began to sign and she looked loked like the girl from paramour but not red and also a punk. A fireball happened and then an explosion and a bigger one and an asterod fell out of the sky and landed and it exploded and set the ocean on fire. Then the moon got really close to the ground and it was the pointy moon so it started stabbing people and blood poured everywhere like the sea except the sea was on fire! Like lava!
    oh pointy moon

what would my life be without the pointy moon

    You know

I still find it interesting that American English tend to refer to a location as being "on" a street, while British English (and probably other Commonwealth English, though I haven't encountered it enough to know) tends to refer to locations as "in" a street.

"I live on Chamberlain Street", "He lives in Oxford Street", etc.

It seems like Americans are more likely to use singular verbs with a company or group name

    THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS
Fun fact: The ALF theme song and BGM were written by Alf. Alf Clausen, that is, the guy who also did most of the incidental music for The Simpsons.

I was flipping through channels the other night, and saw The Hub running ALF, and was like "Why does that music sound so familiar?"

Honestly, I still enjoy Korn's first four albums and Slipknot's first album, even if it's not as much as I used. Plus I know a few people who feel that way about hair metal

I enjoy Prophecy too, though I like Dark Ages a bit more.

    1. Rush circa 2112 might have qualified as an Objectivist rock band, I have no problem with them making it to #1.
