Anyways, I am gonna go on a rant.

No, people. No. You're not allowed to do things just because said things are fun. No fun.

Stop questioning and just accept things. In the orchestra of society, you cannot go off and play your own song, that's just going to cause a clash with the main song.

No. Too bad. Stop having fun. Follow the rules or we won't let you play.

If people we're allowed to do what they wanted, I would pull my socks over my ears and go WOO WOO WOOOOOOO and stop showering and I would lick flagpoles and armpits.

Unless you want your armpits licked, stop this frivolous disobedience.

that is not a rant that's like

a passage from some weird book if you wanted me to guess without context

Robert sounds goofy to me as well, although it's my own name

    perhaps because it's my name

    Robert's a distinguished name.

It was also my grandfather's name.

my creative writing tutor always spells my name Bobbie, for some reason

My grandfather was also a Robert

well, not exactly, his first name was Alwin, but he went by his middle name

    sorry Mo

really any name which incorporates 'bert', 'laf', 'eg', 'worth' or 'trude' sounds silly to me, for reasons i'm not sure of

    no disrespect meant

"Bobbie" seems more feminine than "Bobby" to me

    Bertrude Lafegworth, Duke of Nothing

    Bobbie looks Scottish to me

unless it was a female name

but for a male name i'd associate it with Scottishness

    Ermengerd is the silliest name.

You think that's a shitty joke but no, that was a somewhat common female name in German and Frankish lands (with romantic versions like Irmengardia popular elsewhere) in the 10th-12th centuries.

Walerie is pronounced with a V, and on the hatch certificate, grandpa Karl/Carl Gustav/gustave misspelled it as Walkerie.

Said Grandpa pronounces Cookie as GOOT-KEY, which is totally awesome.

you and Yarrun really need to switch your avatars back. That shit is hella confusing.

This has little to do with this post. Your family has aggressively German names though.
  • upon further contemplation "Loudewijk" is another good contender for Most Dutch Name.

My family had the thing where the daughter of Hans Petersen would be Hedvig Hansdotter. Grandpa Karl Gustav's father, Papa Gus (Gus for Gustav, Gustav for Karl Gustav) was the first to stop this practice and have the same last name as his father, and to pass that last name to all his children.
  • More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.

If I adopted kids ('cause nobody would ever marry me, I'd have to adopt) I would want them to have the last names of Rozsen or Alidotter, or maybe Alisen or Rozdotter.
