no 8ut in the middle of the night I was thinking a8out Vriska and Vision 8fold and how it sucked when she lost it
like she had had this awesome eye all her life and then 8OOM (yay explosions though) it gets 8lown up and no more 8fold and also no more depth perception and there goes something she is used to having and used as an advantage and that must've taken a lot of getting used to. Pro8a8ly more than the ro8ot arm since artificial lim8s in the Homestuck world seem to 8e pretty easy to get used to unless you're Tavros and you go on stairs.
8ut she got it 8ack when she god tiered so yay.
the question is why was I thinking of this in the middle of the night.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I was playing FTL and I was curious as to what happens if you let your entire crew die during the tutorial.
Answer: the game decides to be a smartass about it.
If I could unpetrify her then I could just petrify her when she is 8iting me in the morning so I can get a little more sleep then unpetrify her when I wake up.
this does not happen too often fortun8ly. It used to happen all the time and I had to sleep under the covers and hide from her.
Although I do find it a little weird to look at people's faces intently, because it gives me this sensation of "I'm not really looking at the person, just a physical facade made up of flesh and bones"

Fuck you, Descartes
so... like people are really ghosts piloting people-shaped machines?
looking at other people's faces makes me feel uncomfortable, but that's more because they can look at me and i don't feel in control of my appearance
yeah, man, it's like I'm looking at a mask. Especially eyes...you're supposed to make eye contact, but all I can think of is that I'm looking at some squishy optical organs. It's uncomfortable.
Daleks have been able to ascend stairs since 1985 and at no point prior to that was it ever suggested they were incapable of ascending stairs*
also shut up, "Dalek" was an awesome episode
*in one episode the Fourth Doctor implied that they couldn't climb up onto an alcove, but that was in one episode out of several hundred
Yes, but still. Still.
It's a tradition, like swords going "Shiiiiiing" when you take them out; or lasers going much slower than light, or running out of fuel for you spaceship in space so your spaceship slows down and stops when it runs out.
My playlist goes back and forth between a particularly badass rendition of Dies Irae and "Crashing down" by Heather Dale (which is supposed to be a Morgana's Villain Song and includes phrases such as "Let us cleanse this force with fire, strike the fool who leads the liar, let is all come crashing down"). Guess that illustrates that the occasional desire to set the world aflame is not dependent of alignment :)
the important thing about Daleks is that they are hateful, unreasonable, relentlessly murderous, and much much stronger and smarter than most other species
if they could be defeated by flights of stairs that would detract from the threat somewhat
