"It is a matter of grave importance that Fairy tales should be respected.... Whosoever alters them to suit his own opinions, whatever they are, is guilty, to our thinking, of an act of presumption, and appropriates to himself what does not belong to him." -- Charles Dickens
Uniform List ? Black, single-breasted blazer with black buttons and the Pomegranate School badge ? School tie in the colour of the student's house (or a county tie where awarded) ? Plain black formal school trousers (no ‘jean’ style trousers with external sewn pockets). Belts should be black with a plain buckle.
Blazers with same color trousers are a huge faux pas. So is a jacket with a blazer's badge but the plain buttons of a suit rather than brass ones.

It snowed here today
I guess Ohio decided to skip that pesky little thing called autumn
So, when playing Upwords, the seven letter tiles I got at the beginning were L B D E I D R
Darn it, that's a terrible seven letters! How am I going to choose letters to make words from that. Maybe I can do BE, with the B and the E. And, darn it, I had the advantage, I got to get the first turn this time.

Ah, Minnesota, I think you're the only person here from somewhere more typically Midwest than where I live.

You know, one of the fun things about living in the Midwest is that you get to make fun of Southerners for the way they react to snow.
In the South, all it takes is a flurry or two and they let everything grind to a halt. Schools cancel their classes, etc.

I found out (in no particular order) that we might've finally found a new house, that I am not in particularly poor health (I have a relatively common version of acid reflux disease that can mostly be tamed with a pill), and my financial aid will not be cut unless I fail all of my classes or drop out of more than one of them.
So, I'm good, basically.
So, your heart pain and mine have the same source. And an easily applied cure.

mostly just joking because between the Rayman nonsense and my Daft Punk/Justice/etc. obsessions I've just sort of started noticing a lot of my favorite things are either French or Canadian

I'd love to live somewhere that hated snow that much

Ironic but still
"crushcrushcrush" is playing
