I've been thinking about giving my notice to the two or three people that care and ditching the site entirely, but I never get around to it. So I poke my head in for a little bit now and then, shrug, and move on.

I hated his videos from the get go so am not overcome by an urge to see more.
OK, "hate" is a pretty strong word to use here, but they never clicked with me. I guess I felt I, too, could make fun of movies and post videos to the internet if I wanted that to be my thing.

In an alternate universe, Justice did just that, outcompeted Doug Walker, and now houses his own stable of internet critics on ThatGuyWithABeard.com

But then I'd have to deal with ass-hats on random web-forums who think they, too, could easily do my internet thing.
Dan X Pinkie Pie fan-fic was clearly a good choice, because if someone thinks they can out do me there, fan-fic writing is pretty accessible, and if it's good, I win anyways.
Every time I hear about GTA V, it makes me feel uncomfortable for wanting to play it.
All I want to do is pull off a heist and be a criminal and maybe run around with a rocket launcher and smash stuff with a fire truck. Why can't you let me do that, Rockstar?
At this rate, I'm probably going to cut my losses and just buy Saints Row IV.
I avoid TGWTG as a site entirely. While the producers themselves seem nice enough, their fans exhibit an astonishing lack of self-awareness and common sense that even someone as clueless as I am finds toxic.
I thought that was like...80% of the point of the GTA series.
Yeah, but if I try to do it with GTAV now, then I'll be thinking about how uncomfortable it made people and it's lack of representation of women and it's many, many trans jokes and the fact that it's even more anathema to social justice than your standard mainstream video game.
Saints Row IV doesn't have that, and I'm pretty sure that it has almost everything in GTA V except for the bank heist plot. And it also has superpowers ripped off from the Matrix, which'll be nice.
You know,if God came down from heaven to speak to Congress, I think he'd admonish them for what happened with Detroit than anything involving sex stuff, assuming that sex stuff is something that he'd admonish them for.

Is it really that unpopular?
I mean, they're very similar by stylistically different so that Saints Row sort of felt like if The Warriors went off the wheels in a pretty awesome way and GTA is sort of realism with lots and lots of grit thrown on it and more explosions.
I can see someone leaning towards one or the other depending on personal taste.

If God came down from Heaven, canonically he'd probably be carrying the Book of Life and how shitty or on-shitty congress had run the country would probably only matter to them if it meant someone decided not to write their name down because of it,

If we are speaking of a fairly anthropomorphic, Earth-focused God or aspect thereof, or simply Jesus, I think that there would be a whole lot of, "The frick? Who do you think you people are?"
I meant to say, he'd get to Detroit before the theoretical sex stuff.
Metaphor-wise.
Man, I just wanted to say that sex-based legislation shouldn't be this much of a priority to the conservative religious Christian sects.
I know what you meant.
I think that so-called "conservative Christians" are honestly pretty bad at being Christian on the whole. If you want to demolish the separation between church and state, then why keep charity a private matter while nationalising moral issues? Jesus himself clearly prioritised good works and a merciful heart over the legal enforcement of morality. It seems to be nothing more than a front for bigotry, greed and control.

there is a strong element of religious fervour to it, but it's misplaced
when people appeal to tradition in order to condemn something they're usually looking to justify their own prejudices, possibly to themselves as well as to others

wasn't my thing
and not a bad actor, he's capable of a lot more subtlety than he's sometimes given credit for
