If Tv Tropes was a movie, some new guy would join and be destined to defeat some evil bad guy and would become Eddie's favorite student and teach him how to be happy again a la King Fu Panda.
Honestly, at this point, TVT is less like Wikipedia and more like CitiZendium -- wanting to be better than chaos, but completely failing to get out of its creators' shadow.
As conflicted as I am on whether or not I like the BBC Sherlock, I do like this fan-picture.

Mycroft is seriously regretting that he ever took the leash off.
between one fitting of a larger and improved version and the next, Sherlock slipped away and has yet to have been caught. it is one of Sherlock's greatest accomplishments. Mycroft still mourns the Days of the Leash.
It was that other guy who cofounded Wikipedia's pet project. The intent was to make it expert-driven--something like a Wiki version of About.com--but he ended up being so up his own ass (and the site so difficult to use) that no one wanted to work with him. That and they were big on credentialism, to the point where they didn't even check for fake or meaningless ones...which means a lot of quacks and nuts set up shop there.
today i saw Eddie's reaction to someone linking the mirror wiki; he was super angry (this was a while ago but i missed it at the time)
it unsettled me, because it seemed like the guy linking it was trying to be polite and respectful, but nothing he said would convince Eddie he was anything other than malicious
i am a fan of copyleft licensing, and i submitted content to TV Tropes while the CC BY SA licence was in place and with no intention that it should become the sole property of TV Tropes, so it was a little disheartening in that sense, too
Hahaha I took the puppy out and there just happened to be a freight train passing by and he freaked out
Awww...
Since I have been staying with my grandmother, I have frequently been in the company of my late uncle's mastiff, Boris. He is adorable, but it can be annoying to be followed around by a 150 lb. dog that thinks he is a puppy about half the time.
what if all the old motherheap stuff is TVT property
what if we're infringing by mentioning stuff like the Parday Bus and YOUR KING and his child
technically, everything in the motherheap after whenever it was in July 2012 that the license was changed is under a CC BY NC SA license, meaning it can be copied but not for commercial purposes (e.g. Wikia)
everything prior to that point is covered by the old CC BY SA license, which allows commercial copying
Eddie's line, however, is that this is merely 'the letter of the law' and reproducing TVT content off-site is 'stealing' (even tho he chose to use the licenses)
obviously he means the articles, i doubt he cares about the motherheap
