Speaking of towing, I finally got some money to get my car fixed
There's a garage in Reynoldsburg that my family usually likes to go to, so we're going to see if they can fix my gas line
They also do towing, which is good because obviously the car can't be driven over there in its current state
A ripped fuel line is usually pretty easy to fix, if they can get under the car. The lines that run under the car are made from the same stuff as brake lines,or from nylon tubing, and both are pretty easy to patch.

failing that, you can push the car using a locomotive

Why couldn’t @horse_ebooks be left alone as a weird internet phenomenon? Because while it might not be run by a major corporation, it maintains the same ideology: that anything that attracts attention is too valuable to be left to its followers. It has to be turned into a tool for promotion, be that corporate promotion or the self-promotion of an artist. Jacob Bakkila could have made his own Twitter account to post gibberish to. But the point was to appropriate something people were already paying attention to. What we thought was marketing rediscovered as art has turned out to be art rediscovered as marketing. The total victory of corporate media and social ownership as a way of looking at the world is that we can’t just like anything without it becoming part of a brand or a product, or without somebody taking it over to stick their name all over it. What’s disappointing is the confirmation that this is just the world we live in.

I have mixed feelings about the Horse_ebooks thing, somehow
The mere fact that there was a person behind it doesn't bother me that much
But the fact that it was essentially a publicity stunt to promote something else kinda bugs me
I guess I should head back to the college now. I don't really want to go to class but it's probably a bad idea to skip just because my professor is annoying.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Horse_ebooks (and that pronunciation YouTube channel) were run by Synydyne as a bizarre viral promotion for his new ARG Bear Stearns Bravo
People felt kinda cheated because we thought we were reading a broken spambot that just happened to post amusing things (which it was at first, before Synydyne took it over in 2011), but in fact it was just some dude posting funny things on purpose
idk i like to look at the horse_ebooks thing from a viewpoint of its authenticity
like in the past we'd have machines faking things out to be humans and getting angry when it turns out to be a machine. now we have people getting angry at a 'fake' because what was a machine turned out to be human. oh, horror! our accidental avant-garde humour turned out to be somebody actually posting humour! shit! personally i dont care, i'm going to appreciate the guy for being kinda funny, whoever he is. its like if the Farrah Abraham album turned out to be, like, a James Ferraro sideproject or something, i would just think that owned. im just doing a lol at the idea of all these horrified weird twitter internet hipsters disembowelling themselves over the fact that their cynicist randomised accidental humour turned out to be authentic.. but these people dont really exist. do they? i hope not. i have not looked into the fallout over this at all personally, i just heard about it
although this does prove the old theory that anything remotely good WILL be appropriated by corporate culture for its own benefit before most of society is even aware of its existence. the only way is to like it before it's cool. hipsterism is truth

If I am not mistaken, it was basically a promotion for the two guys behind it doing the same thing live by phone—a self-promoting non-product, as it were. I'm not sure why I should have a problem with that. It's all a very big surrealist/conceptualist joke, but didn't most people get that out of it in the first place?
Or have their been further developments that I was not aware of?

hey, that works!
well, kinda!
But that is just my two cents. The rest of weird twitter still exists. Y'all should follow TIMESCANNER or somethin.
I'll see you all when I get home later, I guess.
i never really got the problem then, nor why people kept saying she was 'fake' when the creators had acknowledged it was fictional...
