Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
^^Well, you'd need more than just the centrifuge. You'd need supplies that are normally sold to science labs, and I imagine randomly trying to get them would draw too much attention. Plus, it's a bit too time-consuming for most murder cover-ups.

Then there's the episode Confession where pretty much everything bad that happens is in some way the fault of SVU themselves. No-one had even committed a crime until SVU got involved and dealt with everything in the most wildly tactless way possible.
The episode Baggage was one of the stupidest. Stabler's behaviour in that one is downright criminal. Also it's another one where they magically are unable to prosecute the killer for absolutely no reason.
Well, for me a large part of the show's charm is how bad it is.
Even back in the first season, dumb stuff was happening. Remember the episode where the grieving father murders someone who was suspected of the crime even though it's been conclusively proven that he couldn't have done it? I mean, he could've fired into a crowd randomly and he would've had greater chance of hitting his son's murderer.

Well taking a seat in the LCD section takes the literal and meta contexts away from the show. As one who doesn't know of procedures or anything related to how the law works, the show did have a "Dramatic" appeal. After spending much time learning things, a lot of the shows I used to love are slowly becoming footnotes in the tome of "things I used to enjoy".

I never really understood how we're supposed to see the cops/prosecutors on any of the Law & Order series as the "good guys" when almost everything they do ranges from questionable to outright illegal.
I don't think they are the good guys, more like the not-evil guys since it's conveyed a lot in the story that bad/evil things have to be done even by the good guys when it comes to extremely complicated, cunning or unfair circumstances set up by the show.
And it adds to the "I wish I could do this if I was a cop" factor that draws a lot of the people to the show, like beating the shit out of the bad guy even if you aren't supposed to, which of course, generates a ton of views.
It's really only SVU where the protagonists get to do questionable stuff without being called out on it. Vanilla and Criminal Intent are much more even-handed.
It means you can bring young children there without fear of invasive sexual or criminal related things getting in the way...unless it means that a chain of families are in charge of it, like an inherited business.
Christian stores in malls give me the giggles because they sell almost exactly the same material as a Hallmark, except...with higher prices and emphasis on "family".

I did always find it annoying that you have to have a Kroger card to get any of their sale prices.
I remember one time, my family went to a Kroger in Parkersburg, West Virginia and for some reason Mother didn't have her card with her. Usually if that happens they can just look you up by phone number, but for some reason our phone number wasn't in the system and so we had to pay the inflated prices for everything.
