Have you seen any of Ted Geissel's political cartoons? Eesh. Some pretty heavy stuff there.
Yep. What's particularly interesting is how his views on the whole situation with Japanese-Americans during WWII did a full 180º during the course of the war. But yes, his comics about race relations and Nazism are pretty astounding. The man did not pussyfoot around serious issues.

(A joke for people who've studied hydrology and who've seen Symphogear.)
-wants to say stuff about super serious stuff about which many of heapers are passionate-
-don't want drama, argument, disagreement, or discussion-
-basically wants to post own opinion on sensitive subjects without having anybody respond (and therefore, you wouldn't have to say things in such a way as to be sensitive, be polite, and not hurt feelings)-
-basically wants the attention that bringing up sensitive topics brings; but without any of the consequences-
Step two:
-realize that this post is going to attract attention for bringing up the subject of bringing up the subject of certain stuff (thus, already have attention)-
-realize that this post has not actually mentioned anything controversial or actually brought up the specific issues about which people are so passionate (thus, already have lack of repurcussions)-
Step three:
-you have already won-
-bring up thing that interests you but nobody else has really posted about yet-
-realize that you have gotten all the people to pay attention to the thing that interests you-
Anyways, how come there are all these magical swords in fiction, but never a magical Leiomano?
Do you mean that the plastic baby is going to raise?
Like in a newspaper, something like: SENATOR TO MAKE IMPORTANT DECISION ABOUT WHAT TOOTH BRUSH HE'S GONNA USE, where "to" means that the preceding noun is going to do the following verb?
How will it that? Will it raise itself up? Will it just simply float up a bit, flapping its arms like a hummingbird?

You're regular, miss Perky. Looks like garbage now. (a doctor telling Miss Peky that she is medically fine, and then realize that he has to take out the garbage)
"Your regular "Miss Perky" looks, like-" "Garbage! Now!" Guy trying to say that a girl's normal, "Miss Perky" looks, like, totally amaze him. However, his mom yells at him to take out the garbage.

I just want to get everybody's attention, so I can go "Hey! Look at the cool words I found, like, "'natatory"', it's a cool word!" or otherwise talk about my attention.
Also, in all honesty, if somebody says something i disagree with it's very tempting to respond with my own opinion, if i can be bothered to risk making my opinion public, and if nobody else said what i wanted to say.
i liked The Land Before Time and would like to watch it again some day.

That's just me though. My birthday is in October so I'm a little biased too. :P
I've always thought the last three months of the year are the best...that's where all the good holidays are, for some reason!

Oh. But if you raise the Plastic Baby, what is there for a plastic baby to raise?
Wouldn't you need a forklift for that?
Would the mother of this baby be the trophy wife? Would the father be a number one father mug?

Is this a pun on "Harmonies"?
i mean, that's how forums and conversation work. i'd guess probably because most writers have never heard of them before. Maybe you should write about one?
(i hadn't heard of them before. You find the most interesting things.)
But when people with different opinions discuss something, instead of learning just one new thing, i potentially learn several, which is even better!
