So, if I understand the Wikipedia article correctly, the 386 could run all earlier IBM computers, right?
So, presumably it could run the 8008, which could presumably run the 4004, which could presumably run the 704, which could presumably run the 407, which could presumably run the 1890 tabulating machine, which could presumably run the 1885 computing scale, which could run an abacus, which could run beads, which could run rocks.
All executables back to the 8086/8088 by itself; it's mostly source-compatible all the way back to the 8080, though that requires some tweaking (and the I/O works a bit differently on the 8080, 8085 and Z-80). I'm sure you could even get 8008 code working if you wanted to, though the 8008 was nowhere near as popular at the 8080 was.
The 4004 and 4040 were actually unrelated 4-bit processors originally meant for calculators, and the 704 was a 36-bit mainframe that was actually closer to the 386. Though really, any processor can technically emulate any other (Turing completeness) if your time is of no value. :D

Masculinity? You mean the ill-defined system of thought perpetrated by white cis-hetero males whose experiences of the world at large has left them completely ignorant of problems large and small?
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.

So,
presumably it could run the 8008, which could presumably run the 4004,
which could presumably run the 704, which could presumably run the 407,
which could presumably run the 1890 tabulating machine, which could
presumably run the 1885 computing scale, which could run an abacus,
which could run beads, which could run rocks.
And then I'd have a computer that could run the internet and code from the 1972 IBM 8008.
