Also, it's for My Multimedia Class. I have to design an ad as to why we need the Humanities. Because I'm not fucking tired of that braindead argument already.

What is the Humanities?

Which got me to re-reading it, which has been nice.
I forgot how much political commentary there was in the early strips. It's still present later, but there is a greater percentage of straight observational/situational humour, at least that I can recall.
Hee hee, I got you re-reading it? That amuses me, for some reason.
Also Flickr will be down for maintenance soon. How will I get my fix of pictures of retail stores now?
I realised that I hadn't actually read it in years, so I did so.
I should like to revisit Sandra and Woo at some point, too. It has a similar vibe, although it is slightly more twisted (in a good way).
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
When I was in elementary school, the CompuServe office my mother worked for would hold their company picnic at a place in Powell called Murphy's Party Barn
They had silly little midway games and they had hayrides in the fall
Really, something in my hates that weird Comicsanspeak that gets thrown around on Tumblr. I think it's the part that suggested that I get my degree in literature (which will not happen because of priorities).
But I can't help cracking a smile at them once in a while.
In an unprecedented move, the International Council of Science has changed the official science language from Latin to Meow.
This new official language is thought to compensate for the lack of adorable kittens in labs, to be hidden in lab coats and given their own tiny protective goggles.
The scientist community, after great uproar, decided that this was an obvious choice and that they were stupid to not think of it earlier.

In other mews, the old saying of "Curiosity Killed the Cat" has been reworked into "Curiosity uplifted the Cat's standard of living"
My Brother Sam is Dead was an okay book, but the version I have has an interview with the authors in the back. In it, they brag about how their novel is historically accurate in its depiction of America as not being universally for independence and the conflict not being black and white, and in the process condemning Johnny Tremain.
To be perfectly honest, Johnny Tremain seemed to me to be much better at humanizing the British army, even though the book had pretty transparent morals. Whereas My Brother Sam is Dead is content to make everyone seem like the bad guy and had surprisingly few actual points to make.
But it's been a while since I read either, so I may be wrong.
